Tears Of The Kingdom – How To Get Midna’s Helmet In TotK

I am a descendant of the tribe that was banished to the Twilight Realm!

If you’re a big fan of Twilight Princess, you’ll be eating well in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Not only do you have the opportunity to don the iconic green tunic and hat of the Hero of Twilight, but you can also find Zant’s Helmet and Midna’s Helmet deep within the Depths of Hyrule. If you’re planning on spending any time in the Depths, or anywhere with plenty of Gloom, this is almost a necessary item for you to add to your arsenal. Where do you need to go to claim this iconic piece of Zelda history for yourself, however? Let’s find out.

To start, head to the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower (2419, -2762, 0222) and set a pin for Eventide Island (4481, -3625, 0001). Once you blast out of the Skyview Tower, you can also choose to land on the Necluda Sky Archipelago (2855, -2907, 1217) to get an extra boost in the right direction. That is the route we are going to take here.

After landing on the island and changing the direction of the launcher to get us closer to our goal, step onto the machine and let it jolt you forward a fair bit. This will get you very close to the plateau of Lurelin Village, at Cape Cales. You may also find a Korok looking for his friend here, and since we’re going to Eventide Island already, we may as well bring them along for the ride.

From that plateau of Cape Cales, where you can also find some excellent Tingle merch near, you’ll just want either jump off of the ledge and spawn a Glider to let it take you there or make a boat that will push you toward your end goal. From just a standard glider’s perspective, you’ll be able to get to this island before it breaks apart.

Once you have arrived on Eventide Island (4481, -3625, 0001), you’ll want to head toward the Chasm here. Once you have found it (4508, -3474, 0001), dive in and get ready to make your way to the Coliseum. The Ni-Iraram Lightroot (4630, -3711, -0506) can be found to the south, so try and locate that before going into the Coliseum to battle these foes.

Once you have found the Coliseum (4606, -3565, -0478), you may notice the Gloom-Infested treasure chest in the middle of the arena. You’ll need to approach it to trigger the battle against Bokoblins. While this may have been one of the hardest Coliseums to reach, it’s one of the easiest fights overall, since Bokoblins are typically rather weak. Here are the enemies you’ll be fighting in order:

  • 3 Red Gloom Bokoblins
  • 3 Blue Gloom Bokoblins
  • 2 Black Gloom Bokoblins
  • 1 Silver Gloom Bokoblin
  • 1 of each at the same time

Once the battle is complete, just make your way to the Treasure chest and pop it open with the A Button to claim the Midna’s Helmet from inside. That’s really all there is to it, and now you can explore the world to all ends while sporting the helmet of your favorite helper from Twilight Princess. While you’re in the depths, you may as well complete the Twilight Set and get the Zant Helmet.

Now that you’ve gotten this piece of gear, make sure that you’re checking out our Tears of the Kingdom section below so you can find out where all of the stables are located in Hyrule, and what you’ll need to do to unlock the Great Fairies that are hiding in their oversized flower petals.
