Palworld features a sprawling open world filled with secrets, hostile Pals, and challenging enemies. While exploring new areas, gathering resources, and capturing Pals are core aspects of the game, having a fast ground mount can significantly speed up the process. In this guide, we have compiled a list of the 11 fastest ground mounts in Palworld to help make your exploration smoother and more efficient.

11. Eikthyrdeer
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 80 |
Walk Speed | 120 |
Run Speed | 700 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 900 |
Transport Speed | 390 |
The Eikthyrdeer is one of the fastest early-game ground mounts you can acquire in Palworld. This deer-like Pal, with long antlers and a striking purple appearance, offers a significant mobility boost thanks to its ability to perform double jumps while mounted. This makes it especially valuable for navigating the early areas of Palpagos Island.
While the Eikthyrdeer is a decently fast mount, there are better options later in the game. It is a clear upgrade from traveling on foot though, so grab one when you can. Whether you are exploring the island, gathering far-off resources, or returning to your base during the night, Eikthyrdeer is a reliable companion until you unlock more advanced ground mounts.
How to Get an Eikthyrdeer
You will need to capture the Eikthyrdeer pal and it can be found in early game areas such as near Grassy Behemoth Hills, Fort Ruins, and Desolate Church.
If you want to explore a bigger population of Eikthyrdeer pals and probably get a chance of finding an Alpha Eikthyrdeer, then you need to go find them near March Island Church Ruins and Easter Wild Island fast travel areas.
10. Blazamut
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 150 |
Walk Speed | 400 |
Run Speed | 700 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 900 |
Transport Speed | 500 |
Passive Skills | 20% Fire attack damage increase |
When it comes to speed, Blazamut is one of the fastest ground mounts in the early game in Palworld. However, it is an Alpha Pal, meaning it can only be found in a few specific areas. This makes Blazamut challenging to acquire, and it may not be practical to hunt for it unless you have progressed far enough to reach the volcano region.
That said, once you manage to obtain Blazamut, other early-game ground mounts will feel sluggish by comparison. Its speed is not just noticeable when riding—it also excels in transport speed, giving it an edge over mounts like Eikthyrdeer, Direhowl, and Fenglope.
While Blazamut offers outstanding speed, we have ranked it at number 10 on our list because of how difficult it is to obtain. Since this ranking is based purely on speed stats, its placement reflects the tradeoff between performance and accessibility.
How to Get a Blazamut
Blazamut can be found in two locations: near the Ancient Civilization Ruins in the volcano region and on an island east of the Deep Sand Dunes fast travel point.
You will also need a higher-tier sphere to capture Blazamut; Legendary and Ultimate spheres should do the trick nicely.

9. Dazemu
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 80 |
Walk Speed | 160 |
Run Speed | 900 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 1200 |
Transport Speed | -1 |
While Blazamut is a mid-game mount and one of the fastest on the ground, obtaining a Dazemu is much easier and more practical earlier in the game. This ostrich-like Pal boasts an impressive sprint speed that makes exploring the vast expanse of Palpagos Island more efficient and enjoyable.
Dazemu will likely be the first ground mount you stick with for an extended period, at least until you unlock more advanced mounts mentioned later in this list. One of its standout features is its ability to perform massive jumps, allowing you to reach otherwise inaccessible areas.
Additionally, it floats while descending, preventing any fall damage. These qualities make Dazemu one of the fastest and most reliable ground mounts in Palworld.
The only downside of Dazemu is that it can’t transport anything.
How to Get Dazemu
You can find a large population of Dazemu Pals in the Twilight Dunes region, just north of the Ravine Grotto cave at coordinates (-148, -174). Be sure to bring enough higher-tier spheres to capture a Dazemu pal with ease.
If you are interested in challenging the Predator Pal version of Dazemu, introduced in the Feybreak Major content update, head to the Desiccated Dunes area within the Dessicated Desert region to track it down. Do note that you cannot capture Predator Pals.
8. Fenglope
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 85 |
Walk Speed | 100 |
Run Speed | 750 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 1050 |
Transport Speed | 417 |
One of the major advantages of having Fenglope is its versatility. Not only does this Pal offer excellent running and sprinting speed for exploration, but it can also be used for transportation around your base—something Dazemu does not provide. This makes Fenglope a valuable companion, especially as you approach level 20 in the game.
In addition to its speed, Fenglope has the ability to double jump. With its impressive sprinting capabilities and a high jump, you can easily close gaps and access hard-to-reach areas with ease. These features make Fenglope a well-rounded and fast ground mount to have in Palworld.
How to Get Fenglope
Fenglope is slightly more challenging to obtain than Dazemu. The Alpha Pal variant, known as Fenglope Lux, can be found west of the Ascetic Falls at coordinates (-244, -441) in the Bamboo Groves region. Since this is a level 10–20 area, it is a feasible target once you are within that level range.
If you are looking for the common Fenglope, head to the Wildlife Sanctuary region, located on an island northeast of the Desiccated Dunes. You will find plenty of regular Fenglope Pals in that area. Be sure to bring enough higher-tier spheres to secure your capture.

7. Direhowl
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 90 |
Walk Speed | 180 |
Run Speed | 800 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 1050 |
Transport Speed | 460 |
Aside from Eikthyrdeer, Direhowl is another one of the fastest Pals in Palworld and is incredibly easy to find and capture. What sets Direhowl apart is not just its speed but also its availability—it is one of the first mounts you can acquire within the early hours of the game.
Even better, Direhowl’s saddle can be crafted as early as level 9, allowing you to mount it and explore distant areas without worrying about hostile Pals chasing you. With its impressive speed, Direhowl can easily outrun most threats, making it an excellent choice for early-game exploration and transportation.
How to Get a Direhowl
Direhowl is commonly found in the Marsh Island and Easter Wild Island regions, which are level 1–10 zones and perfect for early-game players.
If your base is set up in Golden Hills or Windswept Hills, you can also find Direhowl west of those locations. To capture one, you will need a few Pal Spheres to secure it once its health is low. Alternatively, using a Mega Sphere to make the process much easier due to its higher capture power.
6. Univolt
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 80 |
Walk Speed | 130 |
Run Speed | 720 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 1100 |
Transport Speed | 425 |
While Direhowl will serve you well for a considerable time in the game, once you discover and unlock Univolt as a mount, you will likely favor this upgrade instead. Not only is Univolt faster than Direhowl, but it also enhances mounted combat by adding electric elemental effects to all your attacks while mounted. This makes exploration not just faster but also more effective in combat against hostile Pals and enemies.
Univolt, an electric-type Pal resembling a unicorn, offers exceptional sprint and running speeds, making it a superior choice compared to most early-game mounts. It is an all-around better option for players looking to explore and engage in battles with increased efficiency.
How to Get a Univolt
The best locations to find Univolt are the Deep Bamboo Thicket and Bamboo Groves regions, situated west of Twilight Dunes, where you can also find Dazemu as we mentioned above.
To capture Univolt, you will need higher-tier spheres. Giga Spheres should work in most cases, but it is a good idea to bring a few Hyper Spheres as well to ensure success. This saves you the hassle of returning to your base for additional resources if capturing proves difficult.
5. Rayhound
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 110 |
Walk Speed | 210 |
Run Speed | 700 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 1150 |
Transport Speed | 455 |
Rayhound is another electric-type Pal similar to Univolt, but unlike Univolt, it does not enhance your attacks with lightning abilities while mounted. Instead, it offers the ability to double jump.
This is a mid-game mount, not just because of its impressive speed—which is certainly a factor—but because using Rayhound requires the Rayhound Saddle, which unlocks at level 27 in the Technology Tree.
While the earlier mounts we have listed will serve you well through the early and mid-game, Rayhound becomes a reliable choice for safer and faster ground travels as you progress further in Palworld.
How to Get Rayhound
Rayhound can only be found in the Desiccated Dunes region, located in the northeastern part of the game’s map. Since this is a level 40–50 area, capturing Rayhound will not be easy and requires careful preparation.
To increase your chances of success, bring a mix of Ultra Spheres and Legendary Spheres. Ultra Spheres should work well when Rayhound’s health is low, but if they fail, Legendary Spheres will help ensure the capture without needing to return to your base for more supplies.

4. Paladius
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 50 |
Walk Speed | 100 |
Run Speed | 800 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 1400 |
Transport Speed | 450 |
Passive Skills | Attack +20% Defense +20% Movement Speed 15% |
Paladius is an Alpha Pal and does not appear in common rarity, making it one of the rarest and most sought-after ground mounts in Palworld. As an end-game Alpha Pal, capturing it requires you to first battle it and reduce its health to the last 2–3% before attempting to secure it.
When it comes to speed, Paladius is undoubtedly one of the fastest ground mounts in Palworld. You will immediately notice the difference if you have been using the mounts mentioned earlier in this list. Its massive size also adds to the feeling of effortlessly scaling the map, making it a clear upgrade over mounts like Direhowl, and Rayhound.
The speed is not the only feature that makes Paladius a desirable ground mount but it has the ability to triple jump. With a greater speed and triple jump, you will hardly feel the need to have flying mounts in your party when you already have Paladius with you.
How to Get Paladius
Paladius can only be found in the northern part of the Desiccated Dunes region, where it appears alongside Necromus, another top-tier speedy ground mount, in a challenging boss encounter.
While it is possible to capture both, the intensity of the fight makes it more practical to focus on defeating one and capturing the other. If Paladius is your priority, aim to eliminate Necromus first.
You will need powerful capture tools to secure Paladius. Legendary Spheres are the minimum requirement, but higher-tier spheres introduced in the Feybreak Major content update, such as Exotic Spheres, are highly recommended. If you already have an Exotic Sphere, be sure to use it for the best chance at capturing Paladius.
3. Frostallion/Frostallion Noct
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 120 |
Walk Speed | 120 |
Run Speed | 1000 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 1500 |
Transport Speed | 440 |
Passive Skills | Attack +20% Defense +20% Movement Speed 15% 20% increase in Ice attack damage. |
Frostallion, like Paladius, is an Alpha Pal located in the northwestern part of the Astral Mountains region in Palworld. What sets Frostallion apart is its ability to both run on the ground and take flight, making it a hybrid pal with great speed in the air and one of the fastest ground mounts in Palworld.
As a legendary Pal, Frostallion offers additional benefits when mounted. It changes your attack type to Ice and enhances Ice-based attacks, offering a significant combat advantage. However, this Pal is considered end-game content, as you will need to reach level 48 to craft the Frostallion Saddle and be able to mount it.
How to Get Frostallion/Frostallion Noct
To find Frostallion, head to the northwestern part of the Astral Mountains. You will locate this alpha pal in a large icy area near the edge of the map, marked by frozen terrain and scattered icebergs.
Capturing Frostallion requires preparation. Bring a Legendary Sphere and use it when the Pal’s health is below 5% to maximize your capture rate. Be cautious when lowering its health—avoid using automatic weapons that could accidentally defeat Frostallion before you have the chance to capture it.
2. Pyrin/Pyrin Noct
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 100 |
Walk Speed | 150 |
Run Speed | 850 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 1300 |
Transport Speed | 500 |
The greatest advantage of acquiring Pyrin is not just its speed—though it is undeniably one of the fastest ground mounts—but also how early you can obtain it compared to mounts like Frostallion or Paladius. This early access makes Pyrin an excellent choice, especially since the speed difference between it and the end-game mounts is relatively minor. If you are upgrading to Pyrin from Rayhound or Univolt, the speed increase will feel significant.
In addition to its impressive speed, Pyrin adds Fire damage to your attacks while mounted, giving you a distinct edge in combat, especially against ice-type pals. Even better, its saddle becomes available at level 30, making it a solid mid-game option for a ground mount in Palworld.
How to Get Pyrin/Pyrin Noct
You can find Pyrin and its variant, Pyrin Noct, in the Volcano region of Palworld. Look for them in areas such as the Foot of Volcano, Ruined Fortress City, and around Mount Obsidian. These areas are teeming with Pyrins, so you will have plenty of opportunities to capture one.
Unlike some of the more challenging mounts to acquire, Pyrin does not require Legendary Spheres. Instead, a couple of Ultra Spheres should be enough to secure it. Just make sure you are prepared for the harsh conditions of the Volcano region. Equip at least level 2 heat-resistant armor to survive the intense heat and successfully capture Pyrin without risking your life.
1. Necromus
Stats | Description |
---|---|
Slow Walk Speed | 100 |
Walk Speed | 350 |
Run Speed | 900 |
Ride Sprint Speed | 1600 |
Transport Speed | 625 |
Passive Skills | Attack +20% Defense +20% Movement Speed 15% |
Necromus stands out as the fastest ground mount in Palworld, boasting an impressive ride sprint speed of 1600—the highest in Palworld—and a transport speed of 625. Its unparalleled speed makes it the ultimate choice for players seeking a swift and reliable ground mount in the game.
Like Paladius, Necromus is an end-game Alpha Pal, which means you would not be able to ride it until you have reached at least level 49. This is the level where you unlock the Necromus Saddle, allowing you to mount this exceptional Pal.
While Paladius has a triple jump ability, Necromus is limited to a double jump. However, this does not feel like a drawback. Given its extraordinary speed, the double jump keeps it balanced and ensures other mounts in the game remain viable options.
How to Get Necromus
As detailed in the Paladius section above, Necromus can be found alongside Paladius in a fierce battle against you north of the Desiccated Dunes region. If your goal is to capture Necromus, focus on eliminating Paladius first. This strategy gives you the time and focus needed to successfully capture Necromus without distractions.
To capture Necromus, you will need Legendary Spheres or higher-tier Spheres. Lower-tiers have minimal capture success rates, making them ineffective against such a powerful Alpha Pal. Bring the best capture tools you have to ensure success, as Necromus would not make it easy and could escape—or worse, be eliminated—if you try to throw spheres back to back in hopes of capturing it.
