Need for Speed Unbound - Best Starter Car

Need for Speed Unbound – Best Starter Car

Whitch starter junker should you get?

Need for Speed Unbound is finally here! When you start the game for the first time, you get a choice between the three starter cars. Here we are dealing with junkers, practically junk cars that your character will restore into his first vehicle for entering the world of Lakeshore street racing. Let’s find out what starter junker is the best pick.

Need for Speed Unbound – Best Starter Car

The first three starting cars in Need for Speed Unbound are:

  • Lamborghini Countach 25th – A good throwback to the age of classic supercars and ancient NFS games
  • Nissan Silvia K’s – For all NFS Underground fans and tuners. JDM, yo
  • Dodge Charger – Obligatory American muscle car

These cars will be presented to you in very bad condition, literally from the junkyard, but don’t worry, after your selection and the introductory animation they will be restored to showroom stock condition.

So, which one to pick? After some time that I have put in testing all three in the first few initial races, where you don’t have enough money for tuning or new parts, the best starter junker seems to be the good old Lamborghini Countach 25th.

The old-school Countach somehow got the best handling, traction option, and 20% drift capabilities out of the three. Max speed before any modding is around 193mph with solid acceleration which will give you an okay chance in the early races in the game – and it looks cool, gives me that 90s NFS feeling in the world of anime effects and Versace shoes.
