How to Get Winterbite in Destiny 2

Expect a grind if you want this gorgeous glaive

Winterbite is easily one of the top Exotic Weapons released with the Lightfall expansion, and its damage is so good it has been banned from the Root of Nightmares Raid. At least for now. But how do you get it? Here is how to get Winterbite in Destiny 2.

How to Get Winterbite in Destiny 2

I will admit it, I love Glaives. Wielding a polearm in the middle of mobs and watching them all crumble feels so utterly archaic and empowering all at once. But Winterbite brings that sense of power to a whole new level.

Unfortunately, getting it is a bit of a grind, and there is no way you can get it in one day. Here is how to get it.

Step 1: Complete the Lightfall campaign

You will need to completely beat the Lightfall campaign to gain access to Winterbite’s Exotic quest. But that is true of many of the Exotic weapons that released with Lightfall.

Step 2: Head to the Hall of Heroes

Once you have completed the campaign, you can head to the Hall of Heroes to speak to the Archivist, Quinn. She is a vaguely blue electronic shape behind the desk. She will give you a quest, Welcome to the Hall of Heroes. You will need to complete it.

Step 3: Repair the Memorials

Once you have finished the tour of the Hall of Heroes, Quinn will be delighted that your Strand powers can restore the Memorials. And to that end, she will ask you to restore all four of the broken Cloudstrider Memorials.

To do that, you will need to essentially match the past Cloudstrider’s vibrations by completing tasks they would have done. Fortunately, we have guides on how to complete all Four.

Step 4: Return to Quinn

Once you have restored all four Memorials and completed the remainder of Strider’s quest, you will be given the coveted Winterbite! And it is absolutely worth it. Congrats Guardian!
