Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 is full of new things for players to do from crafting to hunting animals, it really is wild. Making a return in Season 6 is fishing, and while the act of fishing is the same as before, there are new fish that you can catch including a cuttlefish called a Cuddle Fish.

Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 | Where to Find Cuddle Fish and How to Use It

The first question Fortnite players may have regarding the Cuddle Fish in Season 6 is where to find it. With a Fishing Rod or Harpoon Gun in hand, you can fish at various fishing spots located throughout the map.

When we caught ourselves a Cuddle Fish, it was off the coast of Slurpy Swamp. However, it should be noted that the Cuddle Fish is one you can catch anywhere as indicated by its Collections entry.

Even if you don’t manage to catch a Cuddle Fish at your first fishing spot, you have the chance to catch other new fish like the Hop Flopper which activates low gravity and lets you jump really high (which can be useful when fighting enemy players).

Once you do manage to catch a Cuddle Fish, the next question you’re likely to have is how to use it. You can’t eat a Cuddle Fish, but you can throw it to the ground or at enemies with Cuddle Fish having a total of x3 meaning 3 can be thrown. 

In a nutshell, the Cuddle Fish acts like a sentient sticky grenade. When you throw it to the ground, it’ll hop onto a nearby enemy player and detonate, dealing damage to them. It also works with wolves and boars. 

In the event no one gets caught by your Cuddle Fish trap, you can pick your Cuddle Fish up off the ground and save them for later. Also note that when you catch a new fish like the Cuddle Fish for the first time, it’ll be added to your Collections alongside the characters you discover and talk to.

In the Collections area, the Cuddle Fish is described as follows: 

“Cuddles enemies then bursts with joy!”
