The Final Fantasy 7 Remake gives you a whole heap of things to destroy in its beautiful environments in exchange for Gil and items, and one of those items is a mysterious currency that probably won’t be much use to you til you’ve clocked through a bit of the game at a clip. Of course, we’re talking about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Moogle Medals. Here’s what you can do with them.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Moogle Medals Guide

So, you’ve come flying through the roof of a church in Sector 5, you’ve been swept off your feet by someone that you keep seeing all over the place, and you have an inventory full of Moogle Medals. You may be the most distressed by the latter, since the other two are pretty par for the course when it comes to JRPG plots, and you can probably fight your way through whatever’s coming next. These Moogle Medals, however. What on earth is anyone actually supposed to do with them? Well, that’s where we come in. Moogles evoke a very particular image as part of the Final Fantasy franchise, and the fact that, well, we’ve seen pretty much none in the wild in the Final Fantasy 7 Remake made the Medal situation quite weird to start with.

Luckily, you don’t have to wait all long to figure out what the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Moogle Medals are for. Yes, that’s right. You will get a chance to spend the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Moogle Medals in Chapter 8 of the game. This happens pretty much after the church-crashing scenario that takes place in the game. Once you’ve guided Aerith back to her home, you’ll find out that everyone thinks she’s some kind of angel and that kids love her. Of course, when kids like you, they want to spend time with you. You’ll be introduced to a hideout that the kids use, which is where you’ll find one dressed up like a Moogle as long as you follow along with the main story quests.

You will be quite literally unable to take your eyes off the kid dressed as a Moogle. It’s the only bloody kid in costume. Of course, the trademark music will start playing as well so you will have absolutely no doubt that you’ve stumbled across something special. You can buy Skill Point books for all of your party members using the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Moogle Medals, and you can also buy regular items that will help you in combat like Ethers which work out at a good Medal price compared to shelling out Gil for them which you can do at any old store. You’ll have to spend some Moogle Medals to pick up side-quest related stuff too so you’ll want to keep this vendor marked.

Now that you have our Final Fantasy 7 Remake Moogle Medals guide on hand, picking up these little contraptions as you gallivant around Midgar. We can understand that they may have been a little confusing at the start when you were just picking the up and you hadn’t quite encountered any possible uses for them at all, but we’re personally a big fan of the ability to dump Skill Points where necessary by relying on what are essentially bottle caps to the Sector 5 vendor.
