Desert Pavilion Chronicle Set

Best Characters for the Desert Pavilion Chronicle Artifact Set in Genshin Impact

Blowing your enemies away

Desert Pavilion Chronicle is one of the two Artifact Sets introduced in Genshin Impact 3.3 in a new Domain that can be found in this version. City of Gold hosts both this set and Flower of Paradise Lost as its prizes, both of them being very relevant to both newer characters and even to some old ones.

Here you’ll find out the best characters to use in the Desert Pavilion Chronicle and why it works so well on them. But the answer should be obvious if you’re into any of the edgy windy boys we got in this game.

Genshin Impact – Desert Pavilion Chronicle Artifact Set Effects

The Artifact Set can be obtained from the City of Gold Domain as a random drop. Each run in the highest difficulty will guarantee at least one 5-star piece. Currently, there’s no way to obtain it through Mystic Offering.

Desert Pavilion Chronicle

4-piece effect:When Charged Attacks hit opponents, the equipping character’s Normal Attack SPD will increase by 10% while Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attack DMG will increase by 40% for 15s.

Best Characters to Use Desert Pavilion Chronicle

1 – Wanderer

The set was released alongside him, so it’s hard to not see the connection here. Wanderer is an on-field DPS character that relies mostly on his Normal and Charged Attacks while hovering, ending it with a huge step-on-me moment. Attack Speed is a very rare buff to find and increases his total damage output, and we’re not even talking about the second part of his set which is just nuts. He’s also a Catalyst user which means every single hit of his will benefit from 2-pieces.

2 – Shikanoin Heizou

Heizou and Wanderer have both their unique points, but their roles are still too similar in a team to the point where Heizou can be considered a 4-star version of Definitely-Not-Scaramouche. The same Artifact Sets and weapons will work for both of them for basically the same reasons, so there’s not much for discussion here. More speed, more punching, more big punching.

3 – Xiao

Xiao mains went for almost a whole year without any dedicated set for their favorite character, and then Hoyoverse decided to give them a bunch of those. While Vermillion Hereafter is still the best option for him, this new set is also pretty good if you have some extra parts that can go for him. It greatly boosts his damage, but Xiao doesn’t make much use of the bonus Speed, and having to use a Charged Attack is somewhat clunky for his playstyle.

4 – Honorable Mentions

Kazuha can be built as a main DPS, and this set would be his best choice in this case. This is a very niche case and not very worth it unless you have his C6, but the possibility does exist. The same can be said about Sucrose, although her Normals are still too slow and her Charged Attack has quite an animation lock. Both are generally better when built with EM and Viridescent Venerer, so stick to the classic builds.
