It has been a little over a month since Twitch mysteriously banned Guy “DrDisRespect” Beahm, with no answers being revealed for the permanent removal of him from their platform. That said, the over-the-top personality hasn’t been silent as of late, with teases dropping up to today’s reveal – DrDisRespect is streaming on YouTube.
The streaming community has been rather interesting as of late, with Mixer shutting down and being absorbed by Facebook Gaming, Ninja and Shroud being “free agents,” and the mystery that surrounds the permanent banning of DrDisRespect, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. However, the banned streamer recently teased a return to form, but on a different platform, and it looks like that day has finally arrived for fans as the two-time banned-from-Twitch personality is live on YouTube at the time of this writing. He also confirmed something new was happening via Twitter with the below tweet.

It’s unknown exactly where DrDisRespect goes from here as it appears he does not have an exclusive streaming contract with YouTube. This, of course, opens up possibilities for him to stream on the likes of Facebook Gaming or even DLive. As of the time of this writing, the streamer has over 299,000 viewers on his YouTube channel tuning in to his livestream. If he were to continue down this path, there’s no denying YouTube would probably reach out to work with the personality and come to some sort of deal.
However, we still don’t know the full details about DrDisRespect’s permanent removal from Twitch. Not only is he no longer allowed to stream on the platform anymore, but that also means current Twitch streamers cannot play games with him on the Amazon-owned platform, per Twitch’s terms of service.
In a recent interview, DrDisRespect touched on his ban from Twitch, saying that it was unfortunate that it happened, but he was looking for ways to return. “In terms of the specifics around that, we’re not interested in exclusive at this point,” he said. “We’re exploring our options and, honestly, just can’t wait to get back into character soon. We have a lot to do, and I’ll be wherever fans want me to be. And, you know, that’s been our approach.” If the numbers remain as high as they are, it would appear the fans will want him at YouTube. Then again, only time will tell.
