Battlestate Games always aims to wipe during Christmas break, releasing their biggest patches to the game during this time. The added content and a content wipe always bring players old and new back to Escape from Tarkov. While less than half a year has passed since the last wipe, many speculate that this patch wouldn’t be as big as those that came before. We can only wait and see what Battlestate Games have in store. Here’s all the news we have so far regarding the wipe and release date.
Escape from Tarkov 0.16.0 Wipe Date 2024
After almost a month of pre-wipe events, Escape from Tarkov officially introduces a wipe before 2024 ends.
Escape from Tarkov’s X page tweeted an upcoming maintenance that will last 8 hours starting tomorrow, December 26, at 7:00 AM GMT / 2:00 AM EST.
The tweet also officially mentions a wipe along with the content update. You can expect the patch notes to come out after the maintenance. Still, as always, Battlestate Games always adds something mysterious to its content updates or says incredibly vague in the patch notes, forcing players to discover things independently.
While the maintenance and wipe will be expected to last 8 hours, there are always delays when a wipe comes around. Most players will try to update their games as soon as possible, overloading servers. If you encounter this problem, you can also try updating Escape from Tarkov Arena.
You can try playing Escape from Tarkov Arena if the base game is unplayable. Since their progress is linked, playing Tarkov Arena will help you get some early levels and Roubles in the early game.
