There Is Now a Pokemon Ditto Keyboard, And We Need It

Everyone's favorite, squishy goo-child can now be the center of your workspace.
This article is over 4 years old and may contain outdated information

Okay, I know what you are thinking – Ditto saw a keyboard and could not help but become the keyboard. After all, the sweet little blob of transformative goo is known for doing this quite often in the Pokemon universe, but after seeing other creatures, not keyboards. Well, not typically. That said, a new Pokemon Ditto keyboard has been revealed and we absolutely need it.

Belgium-based custom keyboard maker Quen recently showed off their Ditto keyboard and it is a necessity for any Pokemon fan that spends time on PC. The keyboard itself features that notable smile and ominous eyes as well as a pink acrylic that makes it look like the hardware is just a bunch of keys laid atop a giant wad of bubblegum. Needless to say, it is beautiful and adorable and, again, we need it.

The Ditto keyboard is based on the Zlant PCB, which would explain why the rows of keys are off-kilter. In addition to this, it uses SA Vilebloom key caps to really drive the overall aesthetic home. Now, with all of that having been said, it is time for the unfortunate news. While the Pokemon-inspired keyboard is perfect for any fan, it is not for sale currently.

Quen is the sole designer and maker behind Qlavier and the majority of their keyboards are built to commission. What this means is buying a Ditto keyboard for yourself just isn’t possible at this point in time. Plus, who knows what sort of legal ramifications could arise from selling the keyboard. Unless other makers out there take things into their own hands and create one of their own, this just might end up being the only Ditto keyboard in existence. This doesn’t temper the mighty need for one, but only makes it grow stronger.

Not all hope is lost, however, as Qlavier does offer some products that are just as beautiful, but they are no Ditto keyboard. Sorry, Pokemon fans. We want it too. You can check out all of their other work on Instagram or the website, which is where purchases can be made.

In other Pokemon news that isn’t a wonderful Ditto keyboard, this month’s Max Raid event is set to take place this weekend in Pokemon Sword and Shield. Water and Ground types are up this month and it would appear that a limited time event has arrived to interrupt the festivities. You can read more about what’s going on and how to handle the Max Raid in our guide right here.

What do you think about all of this? Do you wish you could get your hands on a Ditto keyboard of your own? Which other Pokemon characters do you think would act as a great base for a keyboard? Sound off with those thoughts over on our Twitter @PrimaGames!
