Where to Find Rowland Oakes in Hogwarts Legacy

The Tale of Rowland Oakes has players looking for the missing uncle of Adelaide Oakes who is one of the many Hufflepuff students looking for help in Hogwarts Legacy. She’s concerned for Rowland’s well-being after he stopped his correspondence, but finding him isn’t so obvious.

Considering Adelaide can’t leave the castle, it’s on the player to start looking for her uncle starting at a camp where he was last seen dealing with the Goblins. Once you arrive at the camp far to the east of the Forbidden Forest in Hogwarts Legacy, it’s time to start the true search for Rowland Oakes.

Hogwarts Legacy – Where to Find Rowland Oakes

When you clear the small bandit camp next to the Treasure Vault cave, the same area where Rowland Oakes was last seen, you’ll find some notes and a map. This map shows a vague drawing of where you need to go to find the lost Wizard. In essence, you need to head further east to the edge of the map.

Keep heading on the path east until you reach a small castle called the Korrow Ruins. These ruins are also connected to another camp, and all together, there are tons of enemies patrolling the area. You’ll need to get inside the ruins to find where Rowland himself is being held in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to Free Rowland Oakes in Hogwarts Legacy

Now that you’ve entered the ruins, it’s time to actually release Adelaide’s uncle from his cell in the hands of the Goblins. You’ll find him all the way at the end of the dungeon without his wand. He needs it back to unlock the cell and it’s located behind the boiler door in another direction.

Head back to the boiler door and look up to the right. You’ll see some wood that can be ignited under all of the pipes. Use the staircase that wraps around the room to reach the wood and then light it on fire. This will open up the door so you can grab Rowland Oakes’ wand and set him free from the cell.
