Telesto Destiny 2 Bug – What’s Going Wrong?

Trying to figure out what the latest Telesto Destiny 2 bug is? Well, we'll give you a clue. Unsurprisingly, it's got to do with infinite amounts of something.

Let’s say that you’ve become the proud owner of one of Destiny 2‘s infamous Exotic weapons, and that it’s causing a little bit of trouble. No, we’re not talking about The Recluse and how the team seems determined to nerf it into the ground. There’s yet another Telesto Destiny 2 bug going around for those in possession of the fusion rifle, and we’ll explain just how it’s messing up. This time, it’s not to do with Osiris’ pants.

Telesto Destiny 2 Bug – What’s Going Wrong?

This wouldn’t be the Telesto if something wasn’t gravely wrong with it. While past seasons have seem bugs crop up here and there, the Season of Dawn has had much the same effect. The Telesto is a unique weapon and coveted because it fires bullets that are detonated by proximity. If you have a Telesto with the Heavy Handed perk, then you’re going to be uniquely blessed by experiencing this bug. Here’s how it works:

  1. Heavy Handed gives Guardians ammo back if you get fusion rifle kills close to enemies
  2. The Telesto fires multiple projectiles
  3. The Heavy Handed perk counts each of those fired projectiles as a dead enemy
  4. Each time you spew from the Telesto, you’ll get a huge amount of ammo back in a neverending cycle

This isn’t the first reported instance of the Telesto behaving in this manner, and the Telesto’s specialty appears to be bugs and glitches like these which give infinite amounts of something or rather, whether it be ammunition like this or even Supers. So far, Bungie hasn’t quite slapped this Fusion Rifle with an automatic disable warning, so it remains to be seen how they’re going to deal with this going forward – they’re very unlikely to just leave things as they are, but we can’t see this being problematic enough for the weapon to be unusable until a fix rolls out.

Now that you know what’s up with the Telesto Destiny 2 bug, hopefully you’ll be able to recognize it if you encounter it in the wild. Or, well, if you the right conditions to go buckwild on your opponents, why not take it? Need a hand with anything else in Destiny 2? Check out the following guides that we’ve put together:
