by Ginny Woo

Been spending your time weapon farming in Destiny 2? You won’t want to go past this particular Kinetic hand cannon. If you need some time off from the Season of Dawn, why not crack back through the Reckoning to pick up the Spare Rations Destiny 2 weapon? We’ll give you a bit of a taste of how to pick it up.

Spare Rations Destiny 2 Guide – How to Get This Hand Cannon

The Spare Rations is a Kinetic Hand Cannon which allows you to move faster when you’ve got it in your employ, and it benefits from the Explosive Payload perk which means that once fired, the bullets from the gun will explode when they hit their targets to produce AOE damage.

If you’re after these Spare Rations, you’ll have to be able to gun through The Reckoning. While there are a number of tiers of this mode, it does appear that once you’re cracking onto a certain difficulty that the drop chance of this Hand Cannon improves by quite a bit. We’re talking about Tier 3 of the Reckoning when this gun is in the loot rotation being that sweet spot that you need to hit – that’s when the drop rate of the weapon vastly improves after you’ve gunned down the final boss. You can also gun through Gambit Prime for this, though it’s a total gamble on RNG.

You aren’t required to do much more than Tier 3 of this particular mode to ensure that your chances of picking up the Spare Rations Destiny 2 weapon are improved. There’s not quite another way to get this, and we recommend that this is definitely one of the better Hand Cannons out there for you to acquire for completionist’s sake even though there have been a number of raids since. Now that you’ve got our guide on how to better pick up this weapon, why not check out some other tips and tricks that we have sorted out for Guardians gallivanting around the galaxy:
