Some excellent news has surfaced on the Web about the new cards that should arrive in August 2023 in Marvel Snap. Thanks to data miners in our community, we have managed to get information about not one, not two, but FOUR cards that should appear in Marvel Snap during August 2023. I’ll just say that Discard Deck fans are gonna have a field day this summer. Without further ado, let’s bring you into the matter.
Datamined Marvel Snap Cards – August 2023 – Daken, Lady Deathstrike, Silver Samurai, X-23
As I mentioned above, Discard Deck fans will enjoy a lot of these cards, because more Discard support is coming. And mind you, these are pretty good cards, assuming that Second Dinner does not make them worse.
A new Wolverine movie is coming out later this year, which is the reason why August 2023 will be Wolverine-themed.

A supervillain of Wolverine will be introduced to Marvel Snap and here’s what she does:

Power: 3
On Reveal: Destroy each card on this Location with less Power than Lady Deathstrike
Well, if you want to play a Lady Deathstrike deck, you’ll probably need to synergize around her big time:
- Forge
- Nakia
- Okoye
- Shuri
- Arnim Zola
One thing’s for sure, low Cost and low Power aggro decks such as Zoo or Hit Monkey will not have a good time moving forward.
Silver Samurai – New Card in Marvel Snap – Coming August 2023
Another sword-wielding character – another Discard effect
Cost: 4
Power: 5
On Reveal: Each player Discards the lowest Power card in their hand.
Synergies:
- Stature
- Wolverine
- Daken
- Morbius
- Swarm

Another character with close ties to Wolverine joins Marvel Snap.
Cost: 1
Power: 2
When this card is discarded or destroyed, regenerate it at a random Location and gain +1 Energy next turn.
I have nothing else to say that you don’t know already. Colleen Wing gets a 1-Cost target. Discard decks are going to be sheer fun in August, with a lot of RNG!
