In the popular survival game Raft, the goal is to survive on the open sea on your little raft, collecting resources and building simple survival tools while constantly fighting hunger and thirst. Although you start the game only with a hook for catching floating trash… I mean, resources… the things you will be able to create become more and more sophisticated fast.
Eventually, you will learn how to create a complex system like the Advanced Biofuel Refiner, which allows you to make Bio-Fuel from raw food and even severed animal heads to power the engine and other systems on your raft that require fuel to run. Find out how to create and use Advanced Biofuel Refiner in Raft in our guide below.

- Plank x10
- Rope x4
- Bolt ≤1
- Hinge ≤1
However, to create an upgraded version – the Advanced Biofuel Refiner – you will need:
- Plastic x20
- Metal Ingot x8
- Titanium Ingot x6

How to Use the Advanced Biofuel Refiner in Raft
To create Biofuel using the Advanced Biofuel Refiner, you will need any Raw Food (or Animal Heads) and Honey. The most useful mechanic of the Advanced Biofuel Refiner is that it can be connected with fuel pipes to Engines, Biofuel Tanks, and even Battery Chargers so it can provide fuel to them automatically and keep those systems running at full capacity.
To use the Advanced Biofuel Refiner, just put Honey and Raw Food in it and be sure to load it with a 1:1 ratio of those materials. When you fill it to the top, it will produce three Biofuel Cans. The Advanced Biofuel Refiner can store up to six cans.
Now that you know how to build and use Biofuel Refiners, you can create more complex self-sustaining systems in Raft to facilitate better automatization of your survival on the open sea.
