Sammy is a new character in Vampire Survivors Tides of the Foscari DLC. He’s somewhat secret, so spoilers ahead, you have been warned twice now. Sammy is your friendly neighborhood worm, with an unlock condition that is troublesome if you don’t know where to look. Prima Games found the farming spot and we’re sharing it with you all, as well as each and every unlock in Tides of the Foscari DLC.

Where to Find Sammy the Caterpillar in Vampire Survivors Tides of the Foscari DLC? – Answered
Check out the map below:
Instructions are fairly simple for orientation:
- Find the Seal of the Lake (Green Emerald)
- Go straight down from there
- Tilt slightly to the right and push through the wall between the trees.
The Emerald is indeed beautiful, you really need to see it yourself. Here’s a slide show of what the entrance looks like. It’s in the middle of the east border of the map. You won’t miss it with the Prima Games guide!
You will soon be invaded by a heck ton of these worms (I’ve experienced more spawns of them if I move to the right edge of the map. If you have Scoleciphobia, just close your eyes and let your trusty character farm 6000 of these pests. There is no in-game counter for this, but you can have a general idea by remembering how many kills you total before entering the Sammy chamber, and then you can just kill about 8000 more monsters to be sure that you didn’t kill some strays that are not Sammy.
I later learned that Sammy is an homage to a popular caterpillar cake made in the UK. Amazing how poncle constantly finds inspiration in both real and fictional worlds to enrich the content of Vampire Survivors.
When this is done, you can leave the run, and go back to the shop to buy this peculiar character. It costs more than the normal characters (the bloody thing cost me over 10k Gold). His effect is “Gains XP when picking up Gold Coins and Coin Bags. Starts with temporarily reduced Might”. He starts with Vicious Hunger.
That’s it for this guide! Make sure to check out our Tides of the Foscari DLC tag for all other guides you will need.
