How to Find the Giant Turtle in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1

A new quest has appeared for Fortnite players that requires them to find a huge turtle somewhere on the map and complete a short quest on top of it. This guide will show all locations and how to find the Giant Turtle in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1.

How to Complete Giant Turtle Quest in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1

Stumbling upon the Giant Turtle in the Battle Royale mode will complete the first part of a two-part quest. The second part requires players to talk to the Ryuji NPC on top of its shell.

Ryuji will task players with destroying five Dark Magic Thorns on the Giant Turtle’s shell. These protruding red pillars can be destroyed with a pickaxe and only takes a minute. I was able to complete the quest by sitting in the water next to the turtle while another player completed the task in Solo, so that can be an option if the turtle is too much of a hotspot.

All Giant Turtle Locations in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1

Players may have encountered the Giant Turtle since the beginning of Chapter 6 Season 1, but its location has now been randomized. The Giant Turtle can now be found in seven locations around the map. The following locations are:

• South of Whiffy Wharf
• The forests near Lost Lake
• East of Brutal Boxcars
• East of Seaport City
• East of Masked Meadows
• Southeast of Warrior’s Watch
• Southwest of Nightshift Forest

Thankfully, the Giant Turtle is large enough to see from the Battle Bus at the start of the match. The turtle has several trees on its shell alongside a Spirit Shrine that shines a beam of light from it. Makes locating the huge reptile even easier.
