One of the newest gameplay features in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 are called Boons and can give players a slight advantage with very little risk involved. Here is how to collect Boons in Fortnite.
How to Get Boons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
Fortnite players can collect Boons by defeating bosses, opening chests, or returning Sprites to a Sprite Shrine. The first two options can be either hard to complete or not guaranteed to drop, but the Sprite Shrine method is both guaranteed and much easier to accomplish.
Sprite Shrines are located around the island during Chapter 6 Season 1 and comprise of a grey statue surrounded by four sets of stairs. The statues can be seen from a distance thanks to the beam of light shining from the centerpiece.
Interact with the Sprite Shrine and it will reveal multiple Sprites hanging around the area. These cute blobs can be picked up in your inventory and have their own uses, such as creating healing fountains or wind updrafts.
Return to the Sprite Shrine and interact again with the Sprite blob to receive one Boon alongside various items. The Boon must be picked up manually, so be quick to grab it before other players do.
All Boons in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1
There are four Boons that can be collected during Chapter 6 Season 1. Each provides a different power-up for the player or surrounding teammates. Players can collect more than one Boon at a time and the power will stay with the player if rebooted after being eliminated. Here are all four Boons for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1:
- Fire Boon: Reload your weapons faster.
- Void Boon: Eliminating players reveals other players nearby.
- Wind Boon: Move faster while your Pickaxe is equipped.
- Water Boon: Swimming grants Health and Shields to yourself and nearby swimming squadmates.
