How to Solve the Church Puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake

I've had about enough of stained glass for a lifetime.

The Resident Evil series is notorious for some rather obscure puzzle solutions, and Resident Evil 4 Remake is no different. The minute you enter the Farm and you’re asked to find five blue medallions hidden throughout the level, you know what you’re in for. This will likely draw a lot of confusion, and in the case of a puzzle located in a church, endless amounts. Here’s how to solve the Church puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake.

You’ll come across the Church puzzle as you’re working toward finding Ashley. As you enter the church, you’ll find an altar with small colored stones and a massive bug sculpture on a stained glass circle. The altar will likely be missing one of the three stones, which you can find in one of the adjacent side paths within the church itself. Once you have all three stones in the correct position, you’re ready to start the puzzle.

Your end goal is to ensure none of the colors touch the large golden bug. This will require some finesse, though each color does have a particular piece of stained glass that makes it distinct. For the green, it’s the four pieces of glass in the center. For the blue, it’s the blue piece of stained glass that only lines up with the bug’s tail. Finally, for the red, it’s the strangely curved piece of glass that fits underneath the bug’s right wings. We’ve provided an image above, should you need help determining how each color of glass should be aligned.
