A strange egg will be arriving at EX Gyms worldwide… but will you and your fellow trainers be able to take down what hatches? Here’s how to get Regidrago in Pokemon GO.
How to Get Regidrago in Pokemon GO
Some trainers might be unfamiliar with the Dragon Orb Pokemon, Regidrago. This Legendary Pokemon made its main game debut in Pokemon Sword and Shield as is part of the Regi-titan family. And now, for the first time, trainers can try to capture it for themselves.
But getting Regidrago won’t be easy!
Sunday, March 11, 2023, Regidrago will hatch at 11:00 AM, 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM.
You might wonder what I mean by “hatch”. Regidrago is unique in that it’s part of an Elite Raid. Elite Raids are harder than your standard 5-Star Raid, and they only occur at specific EX Gyms in-person. Sad news for all you rural and suburban games, myself included.
Once the event begins, an Elite Raid Egg will appear at an EX Gym, which will then take 24 hours to hatch. This gives you a chance to scout out where Regidrago might be. But once the egg hatches, you’ll only have 30 minutes to complete it.
This raid is expected to be extremely challenging, so trainers are encouraged to meet up with their local Pokemon GO groups. If you’re having trouble finding an EX Gym on your normal Raid Radar, Niantic recommends you download their app, Campfire, to find the EX Gym locations easier.

Along with the release of Regidrago will come an Exclusive Timed Research, which will only be available to trainers who take part in the raid. This Timed Research can only be completed once, and the reward is Candy for Regirock, Registeel, and Regice.
Good luck getting a Regidrago for yourself, trainer! And if you’re Shiny Hunting for something that’s much easier to grab, check out our guide on how to get Shiny Espurr.
