With so many wrecked ships, it only makes sense that pirates, or at least ambitious treasure finders, have been picking away at those ruined boats. Here’s how to find all the caches in the Ruined Treasury in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
Ruined Treasury Cache Locations in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth (FF7)
The Ruined Treasury is a cache you can only access using your Chocobo to swim along the coast of Junon. The landing point is just north of the final boast on the southeast coast. And if you meander your way up the mountain path from the beach, you’ll find yourself at a dead end full of treasure.
And while it’d be wise to take a few of the gold bars for ourselves, there are only two chests in the area we can interact with. And it can be easy to overlook both, hidden amongst the treasure.
The first chest can be found before you hit the main treasure point at the dead end. As you’re walking up the path, hug the left side of the trail once you start to see the treasure and rowboat. There, behind a crate that’s trying to obscure it, is the first chest. Opening it will give you 780 Gil. Not awful, but not great.
The second treasure is at the dead end, amongst the big haul. When you see the angelic statue beside the mirror, turn left. There, tucked away in the corner, is the second chest. Inside, you’ll find two Hi-Potions.
I can’t say that this was worth the long trip here, but from this jump point, you’re close to the fourth Lifespring. And unlocking that Lifespring will get you access to the Mindflayer Crown. And if you’re not sure why that would be important, it’s not a bad idea to grab the Scars of War Artifacts to beef up your Item Transmutation recipe list.
