Patch 1.8 for Vampire Survivors is out, bringing a lot of Adventure stuff and one more secret character. The riddle “How to Find Her Royal Shadow Behind the 46th Door” is mind-boggling, but your favorite Vampire Survivors writer has done it! Here’s how to unlock Rose De Infernas.
How to Unlock Rose De Infernas, Secret Character in Vampire Survivors
46th door, 46th door, 46th door… What Stages have doors in them? Oh, that’s right, it’s Astral Stair we’re talking about. Make sure to unlock it if you haven’t by now. The “Her Royal Shadow” part of the riddle implies that there’s some royalty involved, but contrary to my initial belief, you do not need to use Queen Sigma for this deed, so pick your strongest character for this ordeal.
After embarking on a journey with Queen Sigma on this portal-maze-like map, I was thinking about what I should do next. I counted all the doors on the stage, and there were way more than 46 of them.
The trick to unlocking Rose De Infernas in Vampire Survivors is to go through any doors on this stage forty-six times. Be mindful that doors have certain applicable cooldowns, so you must arm yourself with patience. Also, turn on “Endless Mode” just in case; we don’t want any Reapers interrupting us if it takes us too long to go through all the doors.
It is also worth noting that the hidden “door counter” keeps counting throughout multiple runs, but for efficiency purposes, we want to do it on the first run.
After the 46th time, you will notice that you have been teleported into a weird room with a coffin that has a silver-ice shade. Approach the coffin and let the welcome party begin!
Glitching yourself through the western wall of the Astral Stair map might not result in you being eligible to find the coffin of Rose De Infernas, so I’d advise against trying this method. It won’t take you long to pass through 46 doors.
What is Rose De Infernas in Vampire Survivors?
Rose De Infernas is a secret character that has been added to Vampire Survivors with the 1.8 Patch. Rose De Infernas has FuwalaFuwaloo as her starting item, and she increases the enemy’s spawn quantity by one hundred.
With all Powerups Purchased, here is her stat line:
- Max Health: 130
- Recovery: 0.5
- Armor: +3
- Move Speed: +30%
- Might: -55%
- Speed: +30%
- Duration: +40%
- Area: +20%
- Cooldown: -5%
- Amount: +1
- Revival: +1
- Magnet: +50%
- Luck: +30%
- Growth: -65%
- Greed: +50%
- Curse: +50%
- Reroll: +10
- Skip: +10
- Banish: +10
Her Might and Growth start low, but they grow over time. Every 12 levels, they increase until they go back to 100% at Level 108.
What to do if Rose De Infernas Won’t Unlock After Opening the Coffin
After opening the coffin and leaving the run, the character was still not purchasable, and my Secret was not completed in the Secrets menu. I restarted my game (Steam) and purchased her for just a little above 30,000 Gold (I have all the other characters in the game currently, so this is the highest price you can pay for her at this moment).
