It’s time to do some extreme sports in The Sims! The Snowy Escape expansion pack allows you to ski, snowboard and even rock climb in the Mt. Komorebi region while enjoying relaxing bathhouses and winter festivals. The real fun, though, comes from scaling Mt. Komorebi itself through a mountain climbing excursion! As a bonus, doing this helps you progress in the Extreme Sports Enthusiast aspiration. If you’re interested in learning more, continue reading to discover how to climb Mt. Komorebi in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape.
How to Climb Mt. Komorebi in The Sims 4: Snowy Escape
Before you prepare to climb Mt. Komorebi, there are a few things you’ll have to do. You’ll need a minimum Rock Climbing level of 6 to climb this excursion’s final wall, with higher levels significantly raising your chances of success. You’ll also want to bring climbing gear to reduce the risk of injury or death.
Alongside this, bring some food! Not only do you need some to complete one of the tasks for this excursion, but it’ll also help you if your character gets hungry partway through. You can bring some from home or buy some from a vending machine.
With all that said, let’s begin! Head into your phone and the social tab to plan a social event. Pick Mountain Climb Excursion, invite whoever you’d like, and head to Mt. Komorebi.
Mountain Excursion Part One Tasks
To start the Mt. Komorebi climbing excursion, you’ll have to complete the following tasks:
- Gather excursion members near the Trail Map Marker at the top of the Climbing Route
- Check Excursion Leader’s Climbing Readiness
- Check Excursion Member’s Climbing Readiness
- Have a Sim perform any exercise to warm up
The first Trail Map Marker you’ll have to lead your team to is behind the ski slopes and past the ski lift building. As you pan the camera past this building, you’ll find a rock wall to climb. Scale this small wall with your group and group near the marker to knock out the first and third tasks. Since climbing the wall counts as exercise, you’ll finish this one at the same time.
To check the Excursion Leader’s readiness, select your character and tap “Check Excursion Leader’s Climbing Readiness” to finish the last task. You’ll have to repeat this on a group member once the “Check Excursion Member’s Climbing Readiness” option appears. Once you finish the last task, you can move on to the next stage!

Mountain Excursion Part Two Tasks
The next part has the following tasks you’ll have to finish:
- Gather excursion members near the Trail Map Marker at the top of the Climbing Route
- Inspect Climbing Route Conditions
- Climb Up a Rock Wall
- Have a Sim rest for at least an hour
You’ll encounter a tent just before a bridge as you travel along the climbing route. You can select it here and pick Relax to rest for a bit. Once you do this for at least an hour, head toward the wall and inspect its conditions before scaling the rocks.
From here, bring your group to the nearby Trail Marker to get your next gold medal! You can now move on to the final stage.

Mountain Excursion Part Three Tasks
You’ve made it to the third and final part of this excursion! Below are the last set of tasks you’ll have to finish:
- Gather excursion members near the Trail Map Marker at the top of the Climbing Route
- Have a Sim eat something
- Have a Sim climb courageously
Remember that food that you brought at the beginning of the trip? Now is the time to eat it! If you forgot to pack some or already ate your food, though, you can harvest a nearby plant and eat.
After doing this, climb the nearby tall wall and pick “Climb Courageously” under the One-Time option to knock out the third task. Like before, make your way to the Trail Marker at the end of the route to reach gold once more before moving on.
Congratulations! You have successfully climbed Mt. Komorebi and finished the Mountain Climb Excursion in The Sims 4 Snowy Escape!
