How to Assess 10 Enemies in Junon in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth – Location Guide (Biological Intel: Breath of Life)

I feel like Steve Irwin hunting all these creatures down.

To unlock Biological Intel: Breath of Life in Chadley’s Combat Simulator in FF7 Rebirth, you’ll need to Assess 10 enemies in the Junon region by using an Assess Materia. Here’s where to find all 10 Junon enemies in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

All Junon Enemy Assess Locations in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth

There are 15 enemies to encounter in the Junon region in FF7 Rebirth. Some are in the wild, while others are locked behind side quests and Combat Intel. You’ll must have an Assess Materia equipped to your main party member when heading into these fights and then use it on an enemy to scan them. Here is every enemy that you can Assess in Junon and their exact locations:

  • Sandstorm Drake: Encountered in the When Words Won’t Do side quest.
  • Tonadu: East of Activation Intel 4: Piedmont Tower.
  • Fonadu: Fiend Intel 1: Cacophonic Corvid.
  • Fleetwing: Northwest of Gabe’s Ranch.
  • Stormwing: Fiend Intel 4: Weather the Storm.
  • Mystic Dragon: Encountered in the Dreaming of Blue Skies side quest.
  • White Mousse: Encountered in The Hardest Sell side quest.
  • Zemzelett: Southeast of Activation Intel 5: Prospect Tower and northwest of Fallen Citadel.
  • Whymzelett: Fiend Intel 2: Zemze Breaks.
  • Ignilisk: North of Gabe’s Ranch.
  • Lavalisk: Fiend Intel 3: Scorched Earth.
  • Capparwire: East of Angler’s Stowage.
  • Mindflayer: Classified Intel: The Whisperer in the Darkness.
  • Hell Rider II: Encountered in the Beneath Still Waters side quest.
  • Terror of the Deep: Encountered in the Turning In main story quest.

Sandstorm Drake Location

You’ll encounter two Sandstorm Drakes during the When Words Won’t Do quest as you escort Salmon the dog to the Crow’s Nest. When Words Won’t Do is picked up from the noticeboard in Under Junon.

Tonadu Location

You’ll find a Tonadu located east of Activation Intel 4: Piedmont Tower, flying around in the air.

Fonadu Location

Fonadu is encountered as part of Fiend Intel 1: Cacophonic Corvid, which is northwest of Activation Intel 2: Buffeted Cape Tower.

Fleetwing Location

Two Fleetwing can be found flying around some broken wooden buildings just northwest of Activation Intel 1: Seabreeze Tower.

Stormwing Location

Stormwing is encountered as part of Fiend Intel 4: Weather the Storm, which is located south of Condor Hill and east of Activation Intel 5: Prospect Tower.

Mystic Dragon Location

Mystic Dragon is exclusive to the Dreaming of Blue Skies side quest, which is picked up from the noticeboard in the Crow’s Nest after completing the When Words Won’t Do side quest.

White Mousse Location

White Mousse is only found during The Hardest Sell, which is unlocked after completing the When Words Won’t Do side quest. You can grab it from Toby in the Crow’s Nest.

Zemzelett Location

Zemzelett is located northwest of the Fallen Citadel, which is southeast of Activation Intel 5: Prospect Tower. It’s with two Fleetwings by a Chocobo climbing wall.

Whymzelett Location

Whymzelett is exclusive to Fiend Intel 2: Zemze Breaks. You’ll find Fiend Intel 2: Zemze Breaks northwest of Activation Intel 5: Prospect Tower and south of the Hunting Grounds.

Ignilisk Location

You’ll find Ignilisk north of Gabe’s Ranch, south of the Desolate Worksite Cache.

Lavalisk Location

Lavalisk is only encountered during Fiend Intel 3: Scorched Earth. You’ll find Fiend Intel 3: Scorched Earth northeast of Activation Intel 4: Piedmont Tower.

Capparwire Location

Capparwire is found east of Angler’s Stowage, just outside Under Junon. There’s a group of three roaming around by a large pipe and some sandbags.

Mindflayer Location

The Mindflayer is encountered in Classified Intel: The Whisperer in the Darkness. To unlock Classified Intel: The Whisperer in the Darkness, you must find and scan four Lifesprings in Junon, after which it will appear on the map west of Activation Intel 5: Prospect Tower.

Hell Rider II Location

Hell Rider II is exclusive to the Beneath Still Waters side quest, which can be picked up from the noticeboard in Under Junon. Note that it is a level 45 quest, though.

Terror of the Deep Location

You’ll encounter the Terror of the Deep during the Turning In main story quest in Under Junon, so simply progress the story until you battle it if you haven’t already. If you’ve already beaten it and forgot to Assess it, you’ll need to wait until you’ve completed the game and Chapter Selection becomes available to face it again.

You only need to Assess 10 of the 15 enemies found in the Junon region to unlock Biological Intel: Breath of Life, so you don’t need to track them all down. I’d advise using your Assess Materia on every fiend you encounter anyway, just out of habit.

Now that you know how to find and Assess 10 enemies in Junon, you may want to circle back and Assess 16 enemies in the Grasslands to help unlock Biological Intel: Blinded By Light in FF7 Rebirth.
