Best Games Like Vampire Survivors (All Platforms)

Grinding must never stop!

Vampire Survivors certainly did not start the roguelike/rogue-lite genre, but it has managed to fortify itself in it with a healthy mix of old-school vibes, catchy mechanics, and general ridiculousness. Many players were introduced to the genre through Vampire Survivors and, after 100%-ing the game, are looking for the next best thing to stay in the genre. Here’s a short list of the best games that are similar to Vampire Survivors on all platforms so that you can find something to fill the void while poncle makes new content for Vampire Survivors.

Top Games Similar to Vampire Survivors for All Platforms

There are just too many of these games sprouting up; I have researched so many of them but, sadly, I could fit only 10 in this article. Without further ado, and with many sincere apologies to developers whose games didn’t make the cut this time around, I hope you’ll enjoy the list.

1. Halls of Torment (Steam)

Halls of Torment takes the cake for now. It’s a genuinely brilliant mix of Vampire Survivors and Diablo 1 and 2. And what do you know, Prima Games covers it!

2. Brotato (Steam, Android, Nintendo Switch)

Brotato has its own spin on the genre and you will certainly find many hours of amusement with it since there are so many different characters to unlock that bring a lot of different playstyles. One of the best games in the genre right now for sure.

3. Soulstone Survivors (Windows, Mac, Linux)

Pretty fun and interesting game that takes quite a few things out of Vampire Survivors and adds its own spice to the game. Tried it for a while in beta and didn’t find anything wrong, and had a lot of hours of amusement.

4. Nomad Survival (Steam)

Nomad Survival looks like a ripoff of Vampire Survivors in many aspects, but it does introduce something original, like the mechanic where the darkness starts surrounding you and you need to “clear” it by using your own light sources so that you can see where you’re hitting.

5. Rogue: Genesia (Windows, Linux)

Rogue: Genesia is also one of the games that attempt to emulate the old-school gaming spirit like Vampire Survivors does and truly looks decent doing so. I expect a lot of you will have a lot of fun with it.

6. Spellbook Demon Slayers (Windows, Mac, Linux)

I am soon going to run out of ways to sugarcoat the “ripoff of Vampire Survivors” phrase, but in all honesty, it’s okay if you find inspiration in another game when you are building your own game, as long as you introduce something new, original, and personal in it.

7. Magic Survival (Windows, Android, iOS)

I did promise that this article will cover “all platforms”, so it’s about time we delve deeper into the mobile game territory. And we’ll start off with an OG that came before Vampire Survivors! There’s nothing more I feel needs to be said. It’s still being updated at the time of writing this article, so commendations for that.

8. Survivor.io (Android, iOS)

Survivor.io is a cartoonish rogue-lite game that caught my attention and kept me engaged until Vampire Survivors came out on mobile platforms. It’s fairly fun, albeit not as detailed as Vampire Survivors. You’ll still be able to extract some hours of fun from it.

9. Grimnight Heroes: Survivors (Windows, Android, iOS)

Grimnight Heroes: Survivors looks even more retro than Vampire Survivors. It’s a very simplified game and even though it’s not widely popular, it still has decent ratings on the Play Store, so you might want to take it for a spin.

10. Super Wizard (Windows, Android, iOS)

No, not Clash of Clans Super Wizard. This is how hard SEO can be with Google. Clash of Clans simply overshadows all search results for the game Super Wizard because of the unit name in CoC. However, do not let that discourage you! The game is worth trying, is greatly rated on the Play Store, and some of you will definitely enjoy it.
