Shotguns have been fairly underpowered in Modern Warfare 2 when compared to other classes within the game, especially after everything is unlocked. But the Bryson 890 has some potential if we use it correctly and set up the weapon with the best attachments possible.
By default, the shotguns tend to lack some serious range and the spread of the ammo is super inconsistent. This is what makes the shotgun class feel underpowered. In this guide though, we’ll fix some of those issues on the Bryson 890 and make it more suitable for MW2.
Modern Warfare 2 – Best Bryson 890 Loadout
Most of the attachments we use on this build will increase the damage range of the Bryson and help with the spread on each shot. The end result should be a shotgun with a decent fire rate and some serious power behind each shot. Below you can find all of the attachments you need.
- Receiver: Bryson 890
- Barrel: 21.5″ Bryson Shredder
- Muzzle: Bryson Choke
- Stock: FSS Guardian Stock
- Laser: VLK LZR 7mw
- Magazine: 5-Shell Mag
Our most important attachments for the Bryson are on the barrel slots. Both the 21.5″ Bryson Shredder barrel and the Bryson Choke are fantastic for tightening the spread on each shot. That ensures more damage lands on the target when you hit your shots. The damage range is also extended to make the weapon more effective.
Next, we want the FSS Guardian Stock and the VLK LZR 7mw laser on the Bryson 890 in Modern Warfare 2. Mobility is the name of the game here and we want to be able to have our shotgun ready at a moment’s notice. The laser will be visible on the VLK but it’s well worth the speed.

The last attachment is the 5-Shell Mag in the magazine slot. This is a smaller mag than the default option, but it’s still more than enough to wipe out a few enemies. Along with the major boosts to mobility, you’ll be able to reload incredibly fast so you can get back in the fight.
