Where to Get Body Press TM in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Body Press is just glomping 2.0

Hi trainer, do you like beefy Pokemon? Don’t be shy, I know you do. The beefier the better, right? Great Tusk, Orthworm, Shuckle. You know, the Pokemon who can single-handedly stop a nuke with their face level beefy.

It’s our shared love of the beefy boys that have brought us together on this page. Because there’s one move that serves Pokemon with obscenely high defense best – Body Press.

This move does physical damage with a very respectable 80-base power. But what makes it so tantalizing is its battle effect. The higher the user’s defense, the more damage it can inflict on the target. Yes, this move uses a Pokemon’s defense to calculate damage instead of attack. Now Shuckle’s ridiculously pathetic base attack of 10 isn’t so laughable now, is it?

All will fall before Shuckle. None will survive.

Anyway, here’s how to get Body Press in Pokemon Violet and Scarlet.

Where to Get Body Press TM in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Fortunately for you, getting the Body Press TM is fairly straightforward. Pokemon Violet and Scarlet offer three storyline quests for a trainer to participate in: Victory Road, Starfall Street, and Path of Legends.

The one we care about is Starfall Street. For every crew you clear out and boss you topple, you’ll be given around 20 TM recipes you can craft at the Pokemon Center. The TMs you unlock aren’t attached to a specific boss but the order in which you beat them.

I believe based on my own experience that you’ll get it after beating the fourth or fifth Starfall Boss. Once you’ve obtained this TM, head on down to a Pokemon Center and interact with the Technical Machine Machine. First, to make sure you actually own it, and two, to craft it.

If you’ve made it to Eri, it’s likely that you’ll have the crafting materials you’ll need to make TM 089. You’ll need 8,000 LP, 3 Pawniard Blades, 3 Hawlucha Down, and 5 Cetoddle Grease. And then you’re set!

Good luck crushing your opponents, trainer.
