Disney Dreamlight Valley Gooseberries

Where to Find Gooseberries in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Is today a pie or salad day?

Gooseberries are a great resource to find in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Not only are they a required ingredient in certain cooking recipes, but they recover 600 energy. That’s over double what raspberries and apples give! To get such a great ingredient, though, you’ll have to travel to (somewhat) distant lands and forage them. If you’re interested in learning more, continue reading to discover where to find gooseberries in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Where to Find Gooseberries in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Gooseberries are native to Frosted Heights and the Forgotten Lands. Frosted Heights is easier to access out of these two since you can get there right from the Forest of Valor. While unlocking the Forest of Valor costs 3,000 Dreamlight, Frosted Heights takes 10,000. However, this is still less than the 22,000 Dreamlight needed to access Sunlit Plateau and the Forgotten Lands. The route you take is entirely up to you.

Once you’re in either Frosted Heights or the Forgotten Lands, you’ll encounter several new plants and cooking ingredients, including green bushes with big, orange fruits sprouting from them. These are the gooseberries you’re looking for! If you’re having a hard time finding them, check your in-game map and follow the green apple icons. While these aren’t guaranteed to be gooseberry bushes, you’ll find at least one or two in both regions.

With each bush you harvest, you’ll gain three gooseberries. From here, you can either eat them to recover 600 energy, sell them for 50 coins each, or cook some food.

If you’re interested in cooking with your newly obtained gooseberries, below is every recipe that requires them:

  • Berry Salad: Raspberry, Blueberry, Gooseberry
  • Red Fruit Sorbet: Slush Ice, Raspberry, Gooseberry, Sugarcane
  • Snow White’s Gooseberry Pie: Gooseberry, Wheat, Butter

Disney Dreamlight Valley is available to play on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation platforms through the official website. If you’re interested in learning more about the game, check out our All Cooking Recipes Guide and our The Unknown Flavor Quest Guide.
