Where to Find a Fwooper in Hogwarts Legacy

Stare into its eyes

Hogwarts Legacy features 13 magical beasts you can rescue, from tiny fluffballs to giant frogs and unicorns. It gets weird sometimes, especially when you spend 15 minutes trying to capture one. Fwoopers are right in the middle, being less challenging to catch than other animals without being a complete cakewalk. Nonetheless, if you want to get your hands on an adorable, odd-looking bird, you’ll have to do some searching. Fwooper Location in Hogwarts Legacy

The main place you’ll find Fwoopers is in spots known as Fwooper Dens. There are dens for many magical beasts and hostile creatures in the game, with Fwoopers being one of many examples. Fortunately, Fwoopers are more common than rarer animals like the unicorn and Thestral, with multiple dens dotted around the map.

One of the easiest dens to travel to is just southwest of Keenbridge, west of a Merlin Trial and bandit camp. This area is in the southern part of Hogwarts Valley, meaning you won’t have to travel all the way across the map to reach it. If you’re starting from Hogwarts, head south past Lower Hogsfield until you reach the town before going southwest toward the den marker.

If you’re in the mid to late-game and don’t mind a bit of travelling, there is also one directly northwest of the Rookwood Castle Floo Flame in Feldcroft. Just be careful since there are some elite enemies in the nearby castle! You can avoid encountering the bulk of these enemies by going west before turning north toward the den.

Lastly, if you’re in the Clagmar Coast region by chance and feel like doing some exploring, you’ll find two dens south of the Cragcroft Shore Floo Flame. However, you’ll have to cross the water or start from the Clagmar Castle Floo and travel northwest.

How to Catch a Fwooper

Once you approach one of these dens, you’ll find Fwoopers flying around the area. Use your Nab-Sack to begin the beast-rescuing minigame, and press the button prompt until you catch the creature. If they fly away too much, use Arresto Momentum or Glacius to pause their movements, allowing you some extra time to get those button presses in.

After catching the Fwooper, it’ll appear in your inventory under Beasts, where you can check out their name and description. From here, you can sell them, bring them to the Vivarium or release them if you need space in your inventory. Letting them live in your Vivarium allows you to gain Fwooper Feathers for gear upgrades, while selling them rewards you with some extra money.
