Checklist Before Completing Genshin Impact’s Adventure Rank Ascension Quest 4

A Good Four-Member Team

Contrary to what you may believe, you don’t actually need four level 90 characters to go into this domain. It certainly helps, but it is very unlikely that a majority of players actually do. What you need is not 90 levels, but dedication to four well-built characters. That means assigning a good Artifact Set on them that displays the talents you built them with, Talent levels that you didn’t skimp on, going so far as to tackle World Bosses to get to higher tiers, and best of all, the knowledge of the domain you’re going into as well as basic mechanics of the game.

Artifacts

Each character in Genshin Impact has a preferred or flexible artifact set that they are built with. By checking out the stats that boost their damage and capabilities, just having the right set on a character can greatly alter your party’s damage potential. Nowadays, Genshin keeps coming out with more specific artifacts, but even a combination of Attack-Boosting Artifacts and an Elemental-Boosting Artifact can take you pretty far. For completing missions, you get a variety of different artifacts from your Adventurer’s Journal and individual Adventure Ranks Rewards, even receiving Dendro Artifacts.

As one of the last tiers, however, it is recommended to find some good Gold Piece Artifacts. Not such a small feat to complete, but even having one Gold Artifact leveled can mean a world of difference from a substitute four-star piece. It doesn’t have to have the perfect stats, but as long as one or two are leveled average then you have a well-built artifact set.

Talent Levels

Gathering the materials needed for leveling up Talents can be quite the devious task, but it does a lot more than you would think. Not only can it increase the Normal Attack damage that characters can deal with their weapon alone, but it can increase the percentage of damage dealt when activating their Elemental Skill and Burst as well. So while achieving all the books and enemy drops can be tedious, it is worthwhile in tackling even the World Boss for their materials to get even more damage for merely activating your Elemental Skill!

Of course, each character will have their own specialty, so how do you choose which Talent Branch to dictate your precious resources? In some cases, it depends originally how you built your character. Otherwise, you can check the list of Talent Branches to Level when actually pulling up the Level-Up option. In the upper right-hand corner, you can find this option and it’ll list which Talent Branches to level for the basic standard of each character build!

Knowing Your Opponents

One of the last things to remember is the main threats in the domain; your shielded opponents, whether they come in the form of a Wooden Shield or an Elemental Shield, the Ruin Guard, the Pyro Fatui member, and lastly, the Electro Hypostasis. If you want to set the difficulty to the maximum, you can take in a full Electro team, but ironically enough, even a full team of Anemo or Geo as long as they are well built can easily handle all of the enemies that are in the Domain. It’s just planning around each of them, taking a good hard look at your characters, and building them to maximize their potential as much as you’re able. Then the goal to Adventure Level 60 is yours.

Knowledge of Elemental Reactions

One of the first few domains you’ll encounter in Genshin Impact is Temple of the Lion, a beginner’s guide to learning all about the different types of Elemental Reactions aside from Dendro. Using this knowledge of what types of additional damage you can do by mixing and matching your Elemental Types of characters, you’re sure to make quick work of most of the enemies within the domain.

Dendro itself has become extremely overpowered even by beginner standards. Since Collei was available for free for a time and can now be attained by a certain level of the Spiral Abyss, she and the Traveler can be invaluable in introducing even more team compositions to deal heavy or tricky blows against your enemies. Not just by using Aggravate and Burning, but by introducing Hyperbloom and Burgeon to attack even shielded enemies.
