How to Get the Helpers Hut and Lab Assistant in Clash of Clans

Clash of Clans’ TH17 major update not only introduced new things like a hero, troop, and buildings but also introduced a lot of quality-of-life changes. Most of these changes are meant to streamline everything into fewer buildings to avoid confusion and let players have centralized hubs for everything. One major change is the addition of the Helpers Hut and the Lab Assistant and here’s how you can get them in Clash of Clans.

How to Get the Helpers Hut in Clash of Clans

The Helper Hut is a hub for all your assistants in Clash of Clans. This includes the Apprentice Builder and the Lab Assistant. Before the TH17 update, the Apprentice Builder was introduced not so long ago. The Apprentice Builder helps you speed up any ongoing building upgrade, and you can upgrade the effectiveness of the Apprentice Builder to make it even faster but at the cost of Gems.

For the Lab Assistant, it does the same thing as the Apprentice Builder, but for research at the Laboratory. The effectiveness in terms of speed depends on the Lab Assistant’s level, which is also increased at the cost of gems. It’ll take more than a year to get an ROI with your gems if you ever level these Apprentice Builder and Lab Assistants, but it is worth it if you plan on playing the game for that long anyway.

Now, the Helper Hut is similar to the Hero Hall, where it’ll automatically be available to players after logging in for the first time after the TH17 update. It’ll be under the “Unplaced Items” section similar to how you get cosmetic decorations from events, passes, and others. Place the Helper Hut in your base and it should be good to go. Now, instead of tapping on the Town Hall to access the Apprentice Builder, you’ll tap on the Helper Hut instead to assign it to help in one of your upgrades – the same goes for the new Lab Assistant.

How to Get the Lab Assistant in Clash of Clans

So, how do you get the Lab Assistant? Well, it is similar to how the Apprentice Builder was available immediately to players when it was introduced – the Lab Assistant is just instantly there in your Helper Hut, but only if you have the right Town Hall level.

The Helper Hut will be available at Town Hall level 9 because that’s when you gain access to the Apprentice Builder. Once you reach Town Hall level 10, you’ll get the Lab Assistant. You don’t have to upgrade the Helper Hut. You just need to reach the Town Hall level.
