During June’s Nintendo Direct Mini presentation, we saw many announcements for new games coming to Switch by the end of the 2022 and beyond – including news that the Platinum Games’ hit action JRPG Nier: Automata is finally coming to Nintendo’s popular handheld. Nier: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition drops on October 6, 2022, and it will be a proper port of the 2017 game and not cloud-based like the Kingdom Hearts remasters. Keep on reading to find out what this new edition contains.

What’s New in Nier Automata ‘End of YorHa Edition’ for Nintendo Switch?
So far, it has been confirmed that the Nier: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition will contain the following:
- Nier Automata base game.
- “3C3C1D119440927″ DLC (three battle arenas, three costumes, and one final trippy side quest).
- New Nintendo Switch exclusive costumes (like the Kitsune Mask that we saw in the trailer).
It’s been more than five years since Nier: Automata was released exclusively for the PlayStation 4 but since then, the game has been ported to PC and Xbox and there has been one big DLC pack and a few patches. The End of YoRHa Edition will contain all of the previously released DLC content and a few new costumes that will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch version.

Thanks to Nier: Automata, director Yoko Taro became world-famous and the game single-handedly revived the franchise. It even caused the original game, Nier Replicant, to get a great remaster and an anime series is now in production.
If you are not yet familiar with the melancholic world of Nier and its unique gameplay style, do not miss the opportunity to play Automata on Nintendo Switch when it becomes available this October. It retails for $40 and pre-orders are already up.
