What is the Max Item Level in Warhammer 40K: Darktide? – Answered

Unlimited power!

Warhammer 40K: Darktide works similarly to Vermintide 2 in that each item and weapon is given a rating alongside its rarity. The higher the rating, the better the number. Players have naturally been hunting to get as high of a rating as possible, though you may be confused about just how high you can go. No need to worry, as we’re here to clarify. Here’s what the max item level is in Warhammer 40K: Darktide.

What is the Highest Level a Weapon or Curio Can Be in Darktide?

Before we can list off the max item level, we first have to take note of a few very important distinctions. First, item level doesn’t necessarily equate to damage. Rating in Darktide refers to the point distribution in each of the stat bars. The higher the rating, the more points get distributed throughout. This is why two items of the same rating can have different stat values and one could do less than another.

The other equally important distinction is the difference between leveling an item from green/blue rarity and leveling an item from white. Leveling an item from one of the two later rarities might seem like the logical choice, but the reality of the matter is that you can’t get to the absolute max item level in Darktide without leveling a max rating white all the way to orange.

With both these key distinctions finally out of the way, the max item level in Darktide for weapons is 530. Curios are a little more complicated, but we believe the max to be around item level 110. With this being said, we suggest not bothering with hitting the absolute max unless you care about min/maxing your build. The truth is that a few extra rating points aren’t going to change much with that particular weapon, so you’d be wasting your time.

Finding the right weapons and curios for your build is of the utmost importance, though getting the highest item level you possibly can is ideal as well. Just don’t stress over it, as chances are you’ll be wasting your time hitting it anyways.
