TNMT Shredder’s Revenge is out and has instantly reminded us why we love retro beat ’em ups and the late 80s. Of course, this type of arcade experience is best when played with friends so TNMT Shredder’s Revenge brings support for up to six players in co-op mode. It is not always easy to gather six players at home, and it is even harder to find six controllers, so there is also support for online multiplayer – but does Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge have cross-play support? Can you team up with your friends online for a co-op session even if they play on other gaming systems? Find out below.
Does TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge Have Crossplay?
The answer is yes and no – it depends on the system, for starters. There is cross-play functionality that enables PC and Xbox players to team up, and it is pretty straightforward. When you select “Party Up” from the main menu, you will see options to “Create Party” or “Join Friends” and the “Crossplay” toggle below that you can enable or disable. This option is there only for PC and Xbox players, as there is no cross-play support of any kind in the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch versions.

There is another complication regarding the PC version of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge. As the game is also available on Game Pass for PC, players who play through this service can play with other PC players on Steam – but only if both create an Epic Game Store account and connect there. Without that step, cross-play between those will not be possible.
Cross-play may not be the greatest feature in the TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge at the moment, but we may get some improvements to this mode in future updates. Until then, don’t let that stop you from enjoying this great arcade throwback title.
