With Easter around the corner for plenty of games, Pokemon GO has refused to be outdone and is putting on some egg-related festivities of its own. Yes, the Pokemon GO Spring Event is real, and here’s what we know about it.
Pokemon GO Spring Event – What We Know
There was a whole heap of Pokemon GO postponements earlier on in the year because of the COVID-19 scare, including the likes of the highly-anticipated Abra Day. However, we reckon that Niantic is definitely pulling it back with the announcement of some upcoming fun. Forget Bunny Day in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – there’s a Pokemon GO Spring Event on the horizon and we’re raring to go.
There’s going to be a whole load of flowery (read: springtime) Pokemon and egg Pokemon that will be hanging out about in Pokemon GO. We do love some costumed Pokemon for ourselves, and this not-so-secret Easter event will be the best time to get Pokemon who are all dressed up. If you want Pokemon decked out in blooms, you’re going to be able to look forward to the following making an appearance with adorable accessories:
- Bunneary
- Pichu
- Togepi
- Pikachu
The Pokemon GO Spring Event is going to start on Apri 9 and finish on April 16, which means that it’ll be about a week long. For those who are wanting to pick up more egg-related Pokemon, well, there will be increased occurrences of the following in the wild while you crack on to the event:
- Chansey
- Exeggcute
- Buneary
- Pikachu
- Mareep
- Marill
- Torchic
You’ll also have an increased chance to encounter Shiny Bunnearys, Pikachus and Exeggcutes if you’re so includes. You will have increased chances to also hatch Happinys, Munchlas, Chinglings, Tyrogues, and Riolus. If you fancy yourself a baby Pokemon aficionado, then honestly, the Pokemon GO Spring Event is going to be your time to shine. If those egg-related goods arent’ enough, you’ll be able to buy Togepi merchandise in the Style Shop to really rep your look.
Now that you know a little bit more about Pokemon GO Spring Event that’s about to pop off, you should be able to prepare your team in advance for some truly adorable, flower-wearing critters to join them. Honestly, we reckon these alternative Pokemon looks are the best part of some of these events. Need a hand with anything else related to Pokemon GO?
