How to Beat Arlo in Pokemon GO for March and April 2020

If you were someone who’s already done a victory lap of Team Rocket when they were kicking around in February, then it’s likely you checked out our guide to the Pokemon GO Team Rocket February line-ups. The lieutenants of Giovanni regularly swap things up with their teams, which means that as we look to March and April, we’re going to be wanting to better prep you for what’s to come. Now, back to Arlo.

If you’re wanting to take down the big dog in March and April, you’re going to want to look to the main composition of their roster. We’ve listed out the various picks that they can end up throwing out against you, along with some counter tips and tricks if you’re so inclined:

Arlo First Pick

  • Mawile – the Steel and Fairy Type of Mawile will be easily taken down if you’re packing enough heat in the form of Fire Type Pokemon

Arlo Second Pick

  • Blastoise, Charizard, or Steelix – for this particular procession of Pokemon, it’s fairly straightforward. Blastoise will require a Grass Type to make short work of it like Leafeon, and Charizard would be easily taken down by a Rhyperior or even just a Water Type Pokemon. For Steelix, whatever pick you used against Mawile will undoubtedly work.

Arlo Third Pick

  • Dragonite, Scizor, or Salamence – if you’re having to go up against Scizor here, you’ll honestly just be coasting to a win on the back of some Fire Pokemon. If you have a Charizard of your own or a Heatran, why not whip those out? For Dragonite and Salamance, we think that Ice Pokemon are best, or Dragon Type Pokemon in a pinch. Mamoswine isn’t all that difficult to get and could be a nice, niche pick.

We generally reckon that the Team Rocket lieutenants are fairly predictable in what they have to offer, which means that taking them down should be fairly easily so long as you follow our advice above. We’ve narrowed it down to useful types so we hope that you don’t feel too rudderless when you crack into challenging them.

Now that you have our guide on how to beat Arlo in Pokemon GO for March and April 2020, it should be a little easier for you to whoop Team Rocket’s butts once more now that they’ve come crawling back.
