How to Unlock the Bloodthirst Upgrade

As we stated above, the Bloodthirst isn’t its own weapon, in fact, it’s merely an upgrade for the Tesla Gun. We’ve already gone over how to get this weapon in our how to get the Tesla Gun guide, which goes into detail about how to acquire this Wonder Weapon and start mowing down zombies with it. Now that you know how to get it, though, let’s talk about upgrading it.

In order to get started unlocking the Bloodthirst upgrade, you’re going to need to make your way over to Riverside. You have to open this area to unlock the bunker, so be sure to check out our guide on how to turn on the power if you’re having trouble finding it.

Once in Riverside, keep an eye out for a sparking streetlamp. The goal here is to use your Tesla Gun to shoot the streetlamp. This will cause more sparks to move along the other streetlamps in the area, and you’ll need to shoot the spark as it moves from lamp to lamp, until it makes its way all the way over to the Morgue. Once the spark hits the final lamp near the Morgue, a battery will drop, allowing you to pick it up.

Now it’s time to grab the battery and place it in the charging station close to the spike trap in this area. With the battery in the charger, wait for the 5-10 Pests to spawn around you, and then kill them by activating the spike trap three times (wait for them to enter the trap). This will charge the battery, and once it is fully charged, you can pick it up out of the charger and move on to the next part.

From here you need to complete the Casual Easter Egg up to the point where you reach the lightning rods and have to defend them. Once you have defended the rods, head down into the Morgue to the machine where you received one of the first parts of the Tesla Gun (refer to our guide on how to get the Tesla gun for help locating the machine), and then place the battery inside of the slot that opens for it. Now you’ll have to defend the machine as it upgrades the battery.

Once the upgrade finishes, pick up the newly upgraded battery, and then head to the area where you assembled the Tesla Gun and upgrade the Tesla Gun to the Bloodthirst. Now that you know how to upgrade the Tesla Gun to the Bloodthirst, be sure to head back over to our Nazi Zombies guide for even more detailed guides to help you solve all the mysteries of Call of Duty: World War 2’s new Nazi Zombies mode.
