Marvel Snap: How To Win a Location With 1 Card

If you’re like us, you’ve probably been stuck trying to win 20 locations with only one card. It’s a difficult challenge because that one card has to be powerful enough to stand independently. While our tips are still a bit situational, we can at least guide you on the best way to consistently get some location wins with a single card.

You’re going to want to build a deck around Apocalypse. It’s your best bet for winning a location by itself. You can buff Apocalypse up, primarily if you draw him early or start the game with him.

If you pair Apocalypse with Lady Sif, you’re guaranteed to get at least one buff on him to make him a 6/12. We’ve found, in most cases, this is enough to win a location on its own if your opponent is only focused on one or two locations.

You’ll want to challenge your opponent at the other two locations and keep them busy dropping cards there. If they have low power at an empty location, drop Apocalypse on the last turn, it usually catches them off guard, or they don’t send a lot of resources to the location.

An important thing to remember is sometimes you might have to lose the match to secure the location. Even if you lose, you’ll still make progress for the challenge if you one the specific location.

Of course, every player will react differently, but leaving an empty location on the board usually doesn’t warrant a massive response from your opponent. Below you can find the deck we used to complete the challenge; you can swap out cards you don’t have or maybe add some that fit your playstyle better.

  • Agent 13
  • Iceman
  • Nova

  • Carnage
