Chadley needs all of the intel he can get, and that means you need to pressure Heliopora Terpsicolt in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Dealing with the seahorses can be annoying, but this guide is here to help you complete all three intel objectives easily.
FF7 Rebirth: How to Pressure and Stagger Heliopora Terpsicolt
Make use of Blizzard spells or dodge the Leech attack to pressure Heliopora Terpsicolt. Building up your ATB and using an ice-based ability is the easiest way to cause instant pressure during the second Fiend Intel battle in the Corel Region. Tifa should already have a Blizzard Materia by default if you haven’t moved it, and if you have, then at least one party member has access to the ice element. Some abilities have ice elements as well but they aren’t as strong as spells.
Outside of using Blizzard to pressure the Heliopora Terpsicolt in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, your other option is to evade the Leech ability. If the seahorse catches you with this attack, it saps some of your health. Just like the Fonadu in the Junon Region, evading the charged-up Leech will cause the Heliopora to instantly get pressured and fall to the ground. This opens up the window to some easy Stagger damage as well.
When a Heliopora gets a successful Leech attack or finishes a spin ability, it will begin whirling. In this phase the seahorse fiends will shrug off any damage, which makes Staggering them more difficult. Use strong attacks like Braver to break them out of the defensive phase. As soon as the ability lands, the Heliopora will be opened up for more Blizzard attacks or standard hits to build up more of the Stagger bar. Before you know it, the fight is over.
Don’t forget to complete the Fiend Intel for the Shankhalopod in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth while you’re in Corel.
