Below is the complete recipe for making Seared Rainbow Trout in Disney Dreamlight Valley:

• Rainbow Trout: Fish in Peaceful Meadow and the Forest of Valor, focusing on white fishing circles. You can also find some in Moana’s Fishing Boat.
• Tomato: Purchase from the Goofy Stall on Dazzle Beach. If you grow your own, you’ll have to wait 25 minutes for it to mature.
• Onion: Buy from the Goofy Stall in the Forest of Valor. If you plant your own, you’ll have to wait one hour and 15 minutes for it to finish.

Once you have all three items, go to any nearby stove or the Chez Remy kitchen to make the dish!

Rainbow trout is surprisingly easy to find compared to others in the game. Once you enter Peaceful Meadow and unlock fishing, you can cast your line to any white fishing circle and catch one. While there is a chance you’ll get a bass instead, rainbow trout have high odds of appearing. You can also use Moana’s Fishing Boat later on to find some.

Depending on how far you have progressed into Disney Dreamlight Valley, finding onion may be your biggest challenge. Unless you use and upgrade WALL-E’s garden, you won’t gain access to onions until you repair the Goofy Stall in the Forest of Valor. Fortunately, if you unlock this area, you’ll also get a second spot to fish for rainbow trout.
