How to Glitch Movement Speed With Teleporter in Lethal Company (Working in v49)

Become the fastest emploYEET of the month in these 3 steps.

If you are tired of moving slowly while carrying scrap or you just want to run faster in Lethal Company, there is a bug, or rather, a teleporter glitch that you can use and increase your movement speed. Here’s how to do it.

How to Use a Bug to Increase Your Movement Speed in Lethal Company

For this bug, you will need to have the following items on your ship:

  • Teleporter
  • Any item you can carry (will be explained further below)
Important Note:

This glitch is only possible if you are not the host of the game you’re in. If you are trying to do this in single-player… tough luck.

Head to the Terminal and type "switch yourname" so the camera focuses on you. Try to move the Teleporter a bit closer to the teleport button. Then, drop an item you wish to use for this glitch (the heavier the item, the faster your movement speed will be) next to the teleporter so that you can both see the teleporter and are able to pick up the item at will.

Warning!

Occasionally, you may experience a game-breaking bug when you are attempting to perform this glitch. If you cannot interact with any items, Terminal, or the lever, you should reconnect to the game. This is why it’s best to attempt this glitch on a freshly hosted game with the consent of other crewmates.

The last part is tricky and requires some timing, but you’ll get it right in a few minutes.

You need to press the button to teleport yourself, and then pick up the item you intended for this glitch just as the teleporter’s white circle stops expanding.

If successful, you will retain the item you picked up, and after dropping it, you will immediately see that you are moving faster. If failed, you will either drop the item (you picked it up too early) or you will be completely glitched and will need to reconnect. Below, I’ve posted a screenshot of the moment when you are supposed to pick up the item.

How Does The Movement Speed Bug Work in Lethal Company

The way I understand it – Your weight will be 0 lbs when you are holding the item you intended for this glitch because you desynced with the host, and the game thinks you don’t have it on you anymore because teleport should remove all of the items in your inventory. When you drop the item, your weight goes to the negative value of the item you were carrying (but it will never show less than 0), and thus, your movement speed increases because you’ve signaled to the game that you’ve dropped some weight from your inventory (sounds confusing given that I’ve said that the game thinks you didn’t have the item in the first place but that’s exactly how this glitch works).

If you pick up a hefty item for this glitch, such as a Cash Register, you’ll be too fast even while crouching, which might be hard to control, so I recommend an item of around 20-30 lbs for starters.

Tip:

If you get teleported again or die, the speed boost is lost.

When Will The Movement Speed Bug in Lethal Company Get Fixed?

A few patches have passed since the discovery of this glitch, but this issue is still not addressed, probably because it’s not widely known yet. Zeekerss will probably just make it so your weight cannot go under 0 lbs at some point.
