How to Get Vah Medoh Divine Helm in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (TOTK)

Truly divine

One of the best parts of playing any game, including Tears of the Kingdom, is to look good as you travel around the world! After all, what use is saving the planet if no one marvels at your shining armor and majestic hair? I enjoy looking good in games, and the Vah Medoh Helm is one of my favorite ways to accomplish this. The best part is it even gives you cold resistance buffs! There are two ways to get the Vah Medoh Helm in TOTK:

  • Scan the Revali BOTW amiibo
  • Travel to a cave in northwestern Hebra and open a chest containing the helm

While scanning the Revali amiibo is a much easier method of obtaining the Vah Medoh Helm, you can also find it in game. It’ll just take a bit of traveling!

How to Scan the Revali amiibo in TOTK

If you own the Revali amiibo, you use the following steps to activate it:

  1. While in game, hold the L button on your controller or JoyCon and select amiibo
  2. Position the white circle anywhere on the ground to select where your rewards will appear
  3. Place your Revali amiibo on the right thumbstick on your JoyCon or in the center of your Pro Controller.

By doing this, your Revali amiibo rewards will appear, including the Vah Medoh Helm! Alongside this, you’ll also find an assortment of items like the Rito-Champion paraglider fabric, a Swallow Bow and various cooking ingredients.

Where to Find the Vah Medoh Helm in Tears of the Kingdom

To get the Vah Medoh Helm without an amiibo, you must head just south of Hebra North Summit, north of Biron Snowshelf, to coordinates (-3973, 3274, 0235). I got here quickly by using the Rospro Pass Skyview Tower to glide directly north, using the Ijo-o Shrine sky island to refresh my stamina and fly the rest of the way.

Once you’re here, you’ll notice a massive chunk of ice blocking the way into the cave. After attempting to throw some fire fruit at it to no avail, I ended up using a Flame Emitter Zonai device to blast away at the ice. Doing this opened the cave’s entrance, where the Vah Medoh Helm lies in wait.

After you clear out the ice and enter the North Biron Snowshelf cave, run forward and collect the bomb flowers along the way until you find a bunch of cracked rocks in the ground. Use a bomb flower on this patch to reveal a hole you can glide down. Just be careful; there is no water at the bottom!

At the bottom is an air vent that you can glide in to fly back into the sky. You’ll have to do this as you search around the area for more cracked rocks to blast open with the bomb flowers you picked up earlier.

With each hole you break open, waterfalls will descend, filling the place with, well, water! You’ll have to do this three times to activate the massive statue, revealing another entrance deeper into the cave. Some holes have Ice Keeses, too, so be prepared for the occasional fight along the way.

Once the last entrance opens, swim to the platform and run forward to find the chest at coordinates (-3960, 3264, 0140) containing the Vah Medoh Divine Helm!
