Where to Find the Legendary Mask in Hogwarts Legacy

There are two ways to find the legendary mask in Hogwarts Legacy:

  • Complete main story missions until you reach the fourth Quests challenge node
  • Find it randomly from enemy drops and chest loot

Once you unlock it for the first time, you can head into your Gear menu and change your appearance to this mask, allowing you to use it as a cosmetic. You can also equip it through this menu and upgrade it at your loom to buff its stats.

Obtaining the Legendary Mask Through Main Story Quests

Under Challenges > Quests, you’ll find three objectives: completing assignments, main quests, and side missions. As you progress through the main story, you’ll unlock different pieces of the Legendary armor set, with the Legendary Mask obtainable as the fourth reward after finishing eight additional missions or 20 total main story quests.

Finding the Legendary Mask in the Wild

Alongside completing the main story, you can randomly encounter this mask in the wild by opening chests and defeating enemies. However, since you can get numerous different armor pieces in the wild, there is no way to guarantee that you’ll get the Legendary Mask through this method. You’ll just have to check your inventory to see if you get lucky and sell the items you don’t need!

How to Equip the Legendary Mask in Hogwarts Legacy

Once you’ve got the Legendary Mask, you can equip it through your Gear menu by heading into Facewear and selecting the item. However, if you find a more powerful mask later on, you can wear the new one and change its appearance by hovering over the Facewear mask’s box and selecting Change Appearance. The Legendary Mask will appear among your options, allowing you to wear it whenever you want!
