How to Get Loadout Drops in Warzone 2 Season 1

Loadout Drops are back!

With a small update to Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded on December 20, the Loadout Drops have returned to the battle royale aspect of Call of Duty. These drops were an integral part of the original Warzone experience, and players can begin picking them up once again in a classic format.

Considering there are still tons of adjustments being made to the battle royale experience, it’s hard to tell how long this feature will remain or if it will be permanent. All we know is that Infinity Ward and Raven Software are keeping a close eye on feedback. In the meantime, we’ll go over how you can get a Loadout Drop in Warzone 2 before any more changes are introduced to the game.

Warzone 2 Season 1 – How to Get a Loadout Drop

Now that the classic drops are back in the game, you can expect a classic method to obtain them as well. Loadout Drops can be found at Buy Stations all around Al Mazrah just like any other items within the battle royale. This is how it worked in Verdansk and Caldera as well.

Once you find a Buy Station on the map that contains a Loadout Drop grenade, you’ll have to make the purchase, and the price will change depending on the mode you’re in. Solo modes are the cheapest, and squad modes are the most expensive for one drop. Below you can find all four prices for drops within Warzone 2.

  • Solo – $8,000
  • Duos – $16,000
  • Trios – $24,000
  • Quads – $32,000

Loadouts can still be obtained in a couple of other ways when playing in Al Mazrah. Primary weapons will be available for purchase at any Buy Station for a low $5,000. It’s not the full loadout, but it’s an easy way to get your weapon. Aside from purchases, you can look for Loadouts as crates in the late game or at Strongholds marked on the map. Those will both be much harder methods of getting your loadout, but it’s certainly possible.
