While Path of Exile 2’s early access is in full swing, several builds have taken center stage. Some are known for their versatility, while others look flat-out broken. These builds may have some complexity, but we have compiled the best builds that any beginner can pick up. These builds are great for beginners because they are easy to use, to gear up for, or have several alternatives to make the build work. Here’s our list of the best Path of Exile 2 builds for beginners.
Best Builds for Beginners in Path of Exile 2
Stormweaver Spark Build
To start the list, we have one of the most popular classes in the game, the Stormweaver Spark build. Using this build, the Spark skill blasts all the enemies on the screen simultaneously and can even eliminate enemies outside your screen. The build is easy initially, as only a few support gems are needed.
In the endgame, it gets even easier to scale up because it combines Archmage (mana stacker) and Chaos Inoculation (Energy Shield stacker for defense in exchange for Chaos immunity) skills.
The build is also quite easy to play since you simply spam Sparks to get projectiles flying in the area. Once the enemies show up, they melt immediately.
If you are looking for a beginner spellcaster build, the Stormweaver Spark build is the best one to play in Path of Exile 2’s early access.
Infernalist Minion Build
Ghazzy’s Infernalist Minion build is one of the strongest minion build variants for the Infernalist class. Since minion builds usually imply that you summon an army to fight for you, you are exceptionally durable just because the enemies also have to deal with your minions.
These minions make the build extremely easy to play as you focus on casting a few spells and dodging. Minions will take care of the offensive part of the game. The build is also easy to get running since there are only a few stats you need to make the build work or get stronger, such as getting levels to minion skills and minion stat buffs.
The minion build is exceptional as a bosser and has decent map-clear speeds compared to other classes.
Invoker Ice Strike Build
Skyrah’s Invoker Ice Strike build is one of the highest DPS damage builds in the game. It also boasts decent mobility, as you can easily dash to enemies. However, the build could be a bit confusing to some as it has a lot of mechanics.
You have to remember to keep throwing your bell and smashing it. You also have to remember to use your Charged Staff now and then. However, believe it or not, this is still one of the best builds for beginners, especially for those who want to play a melee class.
The build has a lot of staples, such as getting Evasion Rating and Energy Shield stats on your body armor piece to get your Spirit up (Invoker Ascendancy mechanic). These “fixed” items make the build extremely easy, especially if you play in a trade league.
The build is similar to our Invoker Tempest Flurry build but is a bit harder to play.
Deadeye Lightning Arrow Build
Fubgun’s Deadeye Lightning Arrow build boasts the highest damage and fastest running build in Path of Exile 2’s endgame. It can obliterate bosses and finish enormous maps in under 2 minutes.
Its endgame variant has a lot of requirements, but the playstyle and power of the build easily compensate for it.
The build utilizes Lightning Arrow and Lightning Rod skills to clear enemies in maps. However, it borrows some mechanics from the Stormweaver class to help with its bossing, meaning you need to change a few things when you are about to fight endgame or pinnacle bosses (which is common for all the classes anyway).
Since the build is a Deadeye class, it boasts high movement speeds because of the Tailwind and other skill nodes close to the Ranger’s skill tree start.
