Best VEL 46 Loadout in Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded

Finally some range.

In Season 1 Reloaded, a handful of weapons such as the VEL 46 were given much-needed buffs designed to help these poor guns that have taken a beating in the post-launch Warzone 2 meta. Both the MX9 and the VEL received a few different changes that can help them stay more competitive.

As for the VEL 46 specifically, there were changes made to movement speed and damage range on the submachine gun. That means we can be more effective in close quarters as well as at range. With those changes in mind, we want to focus on the MP7 as sniper support SMG within your Warzone 2 loadout.

As the season rages on, the best attachments could be altered based on shadow changes. For now, though, we want to focus mostly on damage range and control for this sniper support submachine gun. Below you can find all of the necessary attachments for your VEL 46.

  • Receiver: VEL 46
  • Barrel: Schlager RV-B
  • Muzzle: XTEN RR-40
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Rear Grip: Schlager Soldier Grip
  • Stock: Assault-60 Stock

Our first two attachments should be the largest increases to range through the barrel slots. The Schlager RV-B will help a ton with bullet velocity, damage range, and recoil control entirely. Along with the barrel, we want to attach the XTEN RR-40, which is pretty heavy but will add even more damage range. These are integral for the sniper support option.

Next, we simply want to add recoil control to the VEL 46. Both the Assault-60 Stock and the Commando Foregrip are perfect for recoil control. This SMG has some good control by default, and that means we can get away with control attachments that have less intense control.

The final attachment is the Schlager Soldier Grip in the rear grip slot. This is used for the sprint-to-fire and ADS speed. Without the soldier grip, this SMG will be too slow. It’s already slow with everything else, so the schlager will help to balance that problem.
