How to Get Exotic Weapons and Gear in The Division 2
You can get most Exotic weapons and gear by completing various activities and random loot drops. These red rarity pieces are less likely to drop than High-End loot or Gear Sets. Some can be found in specific missions, while some can just randomly drop without trying to get them.
Targeted Loot means running specific main missions or activities for a weapon or gear class, which can be seen on the map and changes daily. Countdown and The Summit are great places to increase chances for a specific Exotic part, since players can set the Targeted Loot themselves whenever.
Exotic Caches are loot crates that contain one Exotic weapon or gear. These can be obtained by completing projects, purchased with Countdown Requisition Tokens, and the Season Pass. Some Exotic items need to be unlocked in another way first or after a season ends before they can appear in Exotic Caches.
