How to Get the Gaz Operator in MW2 & Warzone 2

TF 141 just expanded in multiplayer.

Season 1 Reloaded brings two new Operators to Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2. One of them is the Santa skin and the other is Gaz, which was long overdue as one of the core members of Task Force 141 in MW2. But earning him as an Operator in multiplayer won’t be so simple.

Most post-launch content in the latest Call of Duty title has been tied to challenges related to the season. In Season 1 Reloaded, the most significant content addition is the first Raid episode in Spec Ops. In this guide, we’ll go over how Raids are tied to Gaz and how you can earn a new Operator.

MW2 & Warzone 2 – How to Unlock Gaz

The new Gaz Operator is tied directly to the releases of the Raid mode in Spec Ops. To unlock Gaz, you’ll have to complete the Atomgrad Episode One Raid, which you can now find in the cooperative Spec Ops tab in Season 1 Reloaded. There are a few requirements you’ll have to meet before you can even start the Raid though.

First and foremost, you must own Modern Warfare 2, or else you can’t access Spec Ops. Those who have only been playing DMZ or Warzone 2 will have to sit this one out unless they buy the new Gaz bundle in the store. If you choose to buy the bundle, you’ll get the aquatic skin for Gaz and the challenge to unlock his Grass Ops suit. However, the suit also requires Raid completions.

Anyone who owns MW2 can play the Raid, but there is no matchmaking. To start Atomgrad Episode 1, you’ll need a squad of three ready to go. On top of the squad, there is a requirement for one player to have a Raid Assignment. These are earned through daily challenges in MW2, reaching the top 20 in Warzone 2, or extracting from DMZ with at least $30,000. The assignments will last for one week and are necessary to start the Raid.

Once all of those steps are complete, it’s time to complete Atomgrad Episode 1. Upon completion of the Raid, you’ll have Gaz as one of your final rewards and you can use the Operator as you please within Season 1 Reloaded.
