How to Get Fabric and Leather in Palia

You’ve likely seen other humans gliding through the skies of Palia. But if you want to join them, and complete the quest Like a Bird while you’re at it, you’re going to need fabric and leather. And there are two ways to get fabric and leather in Palia.

The most convenient option is to purchase fabric and leather in the main town. Or you can opt to craft fabric and leather instead.

Personally, if you have the gold to spare, purchasing fabric and leather is the way to go. You can purchase fabric and leather from Tish in the Furniture store in Kilima Village. Simply go to the cash register and make sure you have room in your inventory. If you do, you can purchase fabric for 190 gold and leather for 60 gold.

Otherwise, you can opt to get the fabric loom from Tish in the Furniture Store. To unlock it in her store, you’ll need to be level 2 in Furnishing. Once you are, you can purchase it for 100 gold. To make the fabric loom, you’ll need 15 sapwood planks, 20 plant fibers, 2 copper bars, and 5 ceramic, which will require clay.

Once you have the fabric loom, you’ll need cotton to make fiber. Cotton must be grown, and you can purchase the seeds from Zeki’s general store for 40 gold. It will then take five days for the cotton to grow to the point it can be harvested. One cotton will be converted into one fabric at the loom in eight minutes.

Leather can be made by killing and looting Sernuk for Sernuk Hides. Sernuk can be found around the outskirts of the village. Or you can opt to leave town and go to Bahari Bay, where they’re free roaming. The main spawn points for Sernuk are Mirror Fields, Leaf Hopper Hills, Whispering Banks, and Pulsewater Plains. Once you have Sernuk Hides, you can then convert it at the loom. Expect it to take around five minutes.

Ultimately, it’s a good idea to pick up the loom, as it will save you money in the long run. But setting it up requires quite a lot of work.
