How to Get Ash in Slime Rancher 2

To start making ash in Slime Rancher 2, you need an Incinerator. The Incinerator is a structure you can build in empty ranch plots to burn items. To get one, you either have to find an empty plot or demolish one before placing the Incinerator for 450 Newbucks.

Next on the list is to buy an Ash Trough. To do this, interact with the terminal near the Incinerator to access the plot upgrades menu. From here, you’ll find the Ash Trough priced at 500 Newbucks. Buy this to build a trough around your Incinerator, allowing you to generate ash as you burn items.

From here, you may wonder whether you have to use your vacpack to suck up the ash. The good news is that no, you don’t! Instead, you can throw your fire slimes into this trough, allowing them to eat up the ash and release plorts. Just be sure to toss any fruits, veggies or chickens into the Incinerator to produce enough for them to eat.

The bad news is that you’ll have to visit the Incinerator and refill it manually. You also have to suck up the plorts yourself rather than having a collector grab them. This means that one of your largos might come by and take them. To help prevent this, keep your Incinerators far from your corrals but close enough so that you won’t forget about them.
